Sometimes it drops you in a place that you can't travel far in....like I got dropped in a ski resort...no signs, moved in circles for a half hour. Seriously dead zone...ended up being in Oregon, but it could have been anywhere.

So...good morning everyone. Another rainy day here...it's been rainy and icky since Friday. The fireworks have been canceled. I just saw my mallards down at the dock, they look healthy. The baby is hanging in there too...little tiny fighter.

Good morning, couch peeps!

Scarfing down a quick breakfast - veggie sausage patty and a mini bagel - as I rush out the door to my assignment. Hope everyone has a good day!

Oh, granite, how upsetting. I hate that the cats can hide their feelings better than we can. Are you going to take him to the vet to have him checked out?

I'm having a huge family party for the 4th on Saturday and got a delivery of food and am waiting for the twice a month maid to come; they couldn't come last Tuesday because I was sick and now my DH is sick instead but he doesn't have to do anything much besides get out of the way :-) However, they don't come at any particular time and he'll want to take a nap here soon and vacuuming and nap taking are not conducive to one another?

Aww, granite, hope your kitty is ok.

Perna - I'd imagine that vacuuming and napping are not conducive. Maybe he can use some ear plugs or sleep in the car for a while? LOL.

Earlier this week my cat started sitting in our closet. We took him to the vet & it turned out he had a small abscess. They drained it, shot him up with an antibiotic, and he's back to his normal self.

Cats are so good at hiding their pain. No wonder so many of us here love cats, huh?

Granite... I'm sorry your Kitty isn't feeling well... I hope he gets better fast.
My H always compares women to cats. so this is just one other way the comparison works... with me anyway..

Granite...hoping pickle puss gets better quickly. I hate when animals are sick.

I am working on a EOM report for this idiot. Drives me bonkers.

Wiki... its good to hear that you are back to work... maybe you should remain "too sick" for certain clients?
Thanks for this!

Afternoon couch.

Didn't have time to pop in this morning as I woke up late.

I went to C's. He did not want to get up today. He finally got up though.

Then it was off to work with my dad. 2 and 1/2 hours, not too bad. The pay is worth any stress it may cause. He didn't make any comments today though. Thank goodness.

I scream at my cat and chase her out when she's in the closet, because invariably, she's pooping in there.

Yes - a cat can't go without food too long, it's much more dangerous for them than it is for a human. Is he drinking? I do hope he'll be all right. I know how hard it is when the cats are unwell.

Hmmm....got a call from the senior place earlier asking if I could work on Monday the 8th. I told them I could. Now I just remembered I am supposed to see T on Monday. I just called and left her a message asking if she had anything the following week. That would only be 3 weeks between appointments. I would rather it be 2, but I can handle 3. The time I freaked out it was like 6 or 7 weeks between appointments.

I would hate to have to call the senior place and "back out" after I already told them I could work. I am hoping T has some openings the following week. It would work out better for future appointments to to go from that week as well.

talking a lot about the mother in T .not sure what to do with all this . i went in today feeling like i didn't want to open my mouth.and then she asked about how things were going with the mother. i told her and we talked a lot about how i need to seperate from her and my guilt set... she isnt letting me check out at all these days and i dont know how good that is .she even told me today she can tell when i am doing it. she was kind of silly about it. and then she said "so tell me ware you went .
i am angry at the mother right now and i want her out of my head .i dont know how to do that .i never have .i have learned how to not react for the most part but she is in my head.the memories are in my head wont go away

Granite... that sounds like a good session... maybe just talking about it is working towards "getting your mother out of your head"... I don't know how it all works but maybe it (the voices of the past) start to lose their power over us when we start talking about it... not that they magically go right away but fall more into the background of our life... I don't know just thinking...

my xT used to ask me that too... where did you just go?

My XT used to ask "What movie is playing in your head right now" and sometimes "can I get a ticket to the movie that's playing in your head?" After a year or so, he'd just say "can I get a ticket?"

Granite...I think that you will be able to stop the Mother Reruns once you start talking about her. Glad you had a decent session.

I don't know what to do tonight. I didn't get home till late. Making pizza for my son and I for dinner. I have so many things I need to get done ...feeling a little overwhelmed and I have this knot in the pit of my stomach... I guess maybe i will get some filing of bills and paper work done.... Or maybe clean the kitchen and scrub the bathroom and kitchen floors... Have a 2 year old coming to the house on Thursday .

After reading about tiny rabbits session I am really missing my grandfather... He died 26 years ago but he is the only man that was ever nice to me and he gave the most wonderful hugs and would let me snuggle up to him on the sofa...

I don't think I ever let myself be sad...he died while I was away at college....I came home day before funeral and then went back later that night of the funeral....
