-Litter box cleaned.
-Trash taken out.
-Dishwasher emptied of the clean dishes that were still in it from last week.
-Dirty dishes from sink loaded in dishwasher.
-Kitchen cleaned.

That's the main stuff that needed done. I still need to vacuum and dust and clean the bathroom. But I am giving myself a little break. I also need to put laundry away (I washed yesterday, but never put it away). I am so lazy sometimes.

I heard that!!! Seriously, just eat breakfast. dang

Well, I survived. I sat with SIL and niece. They brought me some vegan goodies and a cookbook. Wasn't that sweet? SIL said she would be visiting in August, I told her she could stay with us if she leaves her H (my older brother) home. (I was kidding)

My sisters ignored me almost totally, but their daughters were hanging with me. I guess it's because my sister's are 12 PLUS years older than me, and my nieces are only like 6-7 years younger than me. So, I am closer to them.

Daughter and I stopped at a store on the mainland before coming home, and that was nice. So see how I am? All freaked out and it was no big deal. PLUS...no mother for 2 weeks. Win/Win.

Oh...and I did figure out why I react so badly to forced time with them. Being around siblings is a constant reminder of how disliked I am/was by them. A cold memory of how alone I was growing up.

Good evening, couch. Spent the after watching the kids in their pool, trying to forget about my recent T transgression.. H and I see MC tomorrow after 3 weeks, and after a big fall out this week. I told H he had to talk about the issue to MC in order for us to continue in it. We'll see if he listens.

oh...and the food. I have to tell you about the food. It was a buffet at a restaurant. Started at 11AM. Open bar. Scrambled eggs. Ham. Sausage. Pork n beans. Penne with chicken and parm. Home fries with bacon. Cupcakes. White chocolate pops.

No fruit. No veggies. No coffee. No tea.

Who throws a girl party/shower with no girlie foods? Who eats a meal with no veggies?
I swear she (my evil sister) took anything remotely healthy off the menu just to ef with me. I felt like an idiot walking up the line and coming back with an empty plate. I don't expect people to have vegan food just for me, but I can usually find SOMETHING to eat at a party.

I'll let it slide until you're settled...but we gotta get you back to oatmeal. lol
((((lola))))

Well the weird thing is my nephew's wife & MIL (baby's mother/maternal grandma) are vegetarian. The MIL came up to me after and thanked me for doing the fundraiser for the baby. My sister has yet to acknowledge that I have done anything positive for her grandchild/son/dil. BUT, I didn't do it for HER, so who cares. I just find it amusing.

Wiki, I'm glad you survived and that it didn't go as badly as you might have expected.

And about the menu - wow. That's a pretty sad menu. Reminds of me of the time we went to my SIL's house for Thanksgiving and everything had meat in it. Corn with ham. Green beans with bacon. Potatoes with kielbasa. I ended up eating potato chips and rolls for dinner.

From then on, I made sure to bring some meatless sides and appetizers just so I knew I had something to eat. But seriously, most times, I never have to think twice about it because there's usually always a salad, bread and side veggies to eat which is quite sufficient.

OMG, my daughter is getting on my nerves....

I took her and her friend to the swim club. She knew it was a sacrifice for me as I have been battling a horrific migraine all day, and I reminded her to please take it easy with me because I was hurting. Everything went well, even though I was suffering quite a bit.

The girls had dinner at the swim club. Then, participated in the ice cream social. I ran home to get my daughter's boogie board because it was raft night. All was fine.

We came home when the storm clouds came rolling in, and my migraine intensified. Go figure. I'm packing my daughter's bag with clothes and some food to bring over to my sisters and need to drop her off there tonight.

My daughter was brushing her hair and struggling. I told her to take a shower because she needed to get the chlorine out of her hair - and conditioning it would make it easier to brush through (we just had to cut a HUGE knot out of her hair only a couple weeks ago).

She hemmed and hawed at me about not wanting to take a shower. I finally ended up raising my voice to her and demanding that she take one. She stomped into the shower and has been acting all *****y while in the shower.

Honestly, is it too much to ask that she take a dang shower after being in the pool? Gah.

This is normal teenage behaviour. Nothing personal.

Who remembers the original Breakfast of Champions?

It's a brilliant slogan, but if no one remembers the name of the product, the advertiser should ask for his money back.

LOL, Hankster....I think I'll pass on the two words. I wouldn't get much use out of our swim club membership after that!

I just got home from dropping my daughter off at my sister's house. She clung to me so tight and wouldn't let me leave. Ack. I feel so awful when she goes through separation anxiety. She'll be going to Disney with my sister's family for 10 days in August. The departure will be torture for both of us.

Anyway, I need to wind down and get to bed. I have an assignment in the morning. Goodnight, couch peeps!

MUE...that's so typical of a 12 yr old. Wait a year or so, then any time you need to go anywhere it will be "OMG Mom, I can't go out now, I have to shower and do my hair" That's when you start timing the showers because they drain the hot water tank every morning. Ah...the next 5-6 years are SO much fun! lol.

Nightmares last night. I woke up twice with that awful feeling of being pinned down, like someone was stepping on my chest with combat boots. So glad H and son go back to work today...I will have lots of time to meditate and stretch. I am going to go for a long swim too.

Good morning, couch peeps....

((( Lola ))) - You will survive this week, because that's how you roll.

((( Wiki ))) - Nightmares suck. I hope you're able to figure out what's causing them, so you can work towards alleviating them.

Gotta hop in the shower and get ready for my assignment. Hope everyone has a great day!
