Isn't it amazing how well exercise can work? I'm like that after a swim.

I'm sorry that reading about the case again triggered you so. It's an awful situation, for sure. I'm glad the woman is being held accountable.

That's exactly what my T tells me to do - get active to expel some of the pent up energy. Finding the motivation and pushing through is the hard part. Glad you're feeling better, MKAC.

I'm glad to hear exercise helps you, and that you are feeling better, mkac. What a horrible case.

(I won't go into my rant about how exercise is not universally positive for everybody. You must be getting tired of that one by now. )

I have been forcing myself to get back into my workout routine over the past 3 days. It has made a big improvement upon my mood. It's funny how easily I forget how good it feels.

My day so far...

OMG, the lawn SO needs to be cut. I have to get out there and mow.

Dammit, it's raining....nevermind....

...Oooh, the rain stopped, the sun is out...I gotta mow my lawn.

ACK, it's so stinkin humid out here....Dammit, is that thunder?....

(pouring rain again)

GAH, this lawn is just going to grow into a freakin forest.

hot humid day...caring for the baby birds....we lost one. I feel so sad, and guilty. It feels like I wasn't doing a good enough job, even though the externs told me when I started my shift that the little greckle wasn't going to make it. They talked of euthanizing him, but since it seemed comfortable we let him be.

Ah well...I guess you can't save them all. Just thankful it's animals and not children.

Evening couch. I had a pretty good day.

Working with C at his dad's (where I am now on Wed. afternoons) is even easier than the senior place. All I do at C's dad is feed him when he is hungry, limit his fluid intake (he has accidents if he drinks too much), have him use the bathroom every so often, socialize a little bit with him, and watch TV with him. His mom's is also easy, but there I have to run academic and occupational programs.

The senior place I am kind of like a "maid" in addition to a caregiver. I have light housekeeping tasks to do there, bu nothing has ever taken me more than an hour. Emptying the dishwasher, moving clothes from the washer to the dryer, folding clothes after they are dry, and vacuuming (never all the same day) are not hard jobs.

I have the day off tomorrow for the holiday. Then it's back to work on Friday, Sunday, Monday. I was supposed to have T on Monday, but I rescheduled because the senior place asked if I could work that day before I went to C's. T normally only works Mon and Tues, but she said she had a couple other appointments Wed morning next week and offered me one that day. She advised against waiting until the following week to reschedule to. I think she is worried to let me go more than 2 weeks after my "freak out" not long ago.

When I was a public defender, we would switch around sorts of cases that were in our area of sensitivity. I was not particularly sensitive to and therefore took on a lot more of the csa/ca/cmurder appeals than other people, but I would not take any case having to do with animals and I tried to take as few of the elder abuse cases as possible

I need to mow the grass too. I have to put my younger dog inside when I do because he attacks the lawn mower. And it is not even motorized, I use a push mower, but I am still afraid of him getting hurt when he attacks it.
Thanks for this!

I got a job today! So, we should be ok during H's furlough and it looks like the will keep me on a couple of weekends a month through out the school year as well, so we will have a little extra! I start next week!

Healed ... great news, good for you.
Stop... a PUSH mower? Really? I have never mowed a lawn, can you believe it? lol. My H is kind of a gear head, and he'd have a fit if I touched his precious machine. S'ok, because he can't touch my Singer .

I love cutting grass - it is quite immediate gratification for me. From long shaggy grass to short neat grass just like that. The problem in my yard now is I have a lot of trees so it is kind of a pain to mow around them.

Exercise in the sunshine works best for me.
Long walks in the rain, not so much.

She looks roughly like this but her hair is thinner and has less body.

The cartoon picture of your T actually looks kind of like my T as well-- and my T also has what I would consider "non-performing hair." (This expression makes eminent sense to me-- am I the only one?!) In fact, in my last session, I told T that I think it would be fun to give her a make-over. She actually thought my suggestion was hysterical and said she thinks I'd do a good job... but alas, there will be no making-over the therapist in therapy. Sigh. I am now wondering if your T really does look a lot like my T...
Thanks for this!

CE - It would seem as though I sort of like non-performing hair from your picture and description.
I have never had an urge to change the way the therapist looks. Actually I don't think I have had an urge to change how anyone looks or dresses. As long as I don't have to dress any given way I don't like, why would I care about imposing my likes on what others do? Of course, I still dress in khaki pants and oxford shirts most of the time, so it is also not like I am the height of fashion in any sense of the word. And I have thin, underachieving hair that is cut very short.

Would my T's hair fall under "non performing" since he is going bald? Does bother me much, I just sometimes wonder we he just doesn't shave it all!
