Well...

You can post things on here you can't say at a family dinner. That's the point.

Molasses is thicker and darker. I didn't realise treacle was not universal.

I did not accuse you of treacle abuse, it's just when a word I am not familiar with is used, it jumps out at me.

I never said that you accused me of treacle abuse. But I'm glad I have expanded people's vocab. Even if it is only to order a treacle tart for dessert
Thanks for this!

I understand why they take your bra away while your are in for assessment. I'm just surprised it's legal. There must be something in the bill of rights that protects your modesty and dignity.

A treacle tart sounds pretty good. Is it better than key lime pie? Here is what I had for my anniversary dinner which was actually last nite but there was a big football game that didn't turn out too well. I love my gas stove.

Whenever I've been admitted everything that could cause harm was confiscated, so my pens, pencils, sharpener were taken off my husband, which left me with a sketch book and rubber.
I once asked my pdoc what if i don't want to take my meds, he said thats fine i have every right to choose that but then he could make me involuntary as I then a danger to self and others. Go igure

Rib-eye steak. It was yummy. Even Ollie thought so. Ollie is our Golden Retriever.

Goldie's love everything edible. I've never had key lime pie so I cant compare. I suppose treacel tart is like....I can't think of what to compare it too. It is sweet sort of bitter-sweet.

Somebody give me a virtual slap me upside the head the next time I post anything off the couch. I am being a big pissy baby about how even when I try to be nice and/or say things in a neutral tone, I am free game for people to harsh on. Maybe I should whine and moan about how unsupportive people are to me and how they should just tell me how great I am and how they should support me even when I'm wrong. I get even more pissy when it's the people who are harshest to me, or to anyone else who dares to point out unhealthy behavior, who ***** about others' tone and being judgmental.

MKAC I'm trying to say something supportive here but it doesn't come out right so I'll give you a hug instead

MKAC - if you are upset because I disagree with you about certain topics, perhaps remembering I am a moral nihilist will help. I do believe we can disagree and it can still be okay.

My dog used to try to eat gumballs off of sweet gum trees when he was a puppy. Those things are spiky and I would act like a crazy (ier?) woman trying to get them out of his mouth on walks.

I wish I hadn't told T he need not reply to my email. I want support but won't ask for it for fear of rejection and then whinge when I don't get it. I'm worried that he'll think its all over the resume thing, when he said he wouldn't be a referee.

Why when animals are acting like animals do people make the assumption that its not ok or something when its just a natural instinct? I vet who used to go on about neurosis brought on by humans forcing human behaviour on an animal.

He has been the only dog I have had who tried to eat sweet gum balls and I had to take him to the vet when one got caught and spiked the back of his mouth. The vet commented on having had to do surgery on dogs who swallowed them. So I don't think it was a natural thing for dogs to do.

Fair enough. I don't know what sweet gumballs are but they sound like the hard spiky fruits on one of natives here.

For what it is worth, I did not go nuts about trying to keep him from eating them until after he had suffered the spike debacle. In fact I felt a bit guilty that I had been so cavalier about his weird gum ball fixation.

Ollie licks and licks and licks until he coughs up huge fur balls. It is our second straight dog that has done this. Sometimes I think we are causing the dog to be a compulsive licker.
