I had a profound dream last night. I was driving my sister and she told me turn here so I did and there were cars parked on the side of street like a parking lot.... Front end straight to curb and back end to road...not paralell parked...so anyway this one car had its back end of car sticking out in road and i drive right into it... I drive off but I dont know if anyone is in the car so i drive around block and when i come back i drive right into the car again... And there was a person in car then i woke up

feels like it means i keep making the same stupid decisions over and over again

Imagine a room - large or small, bright and cheerful or dim and cosy just as you prefer, with your favourite smell (maybe new bread, or lilacs) in the air, and whatever music makes you feel joyful. And it is a place where you're safe.

That's how what wikid and mkac said made me feel just now.

Radiators in public places used to have warning labels in three languages that you were not allowed to put stuff on top of them, because it could catch fire. Those radiators got hot. (And a generation of Swedes learnt how to say "Do not cover" in Finnish. Finnish is completely unrelated to Swedish, and like most Swedes I only know how to say "Thank you" and "Good morning" and "One beer, please", and a couple of other things in Finnish. And, of course, "Do not cover".)
Thanks for this!

Bad, bad, horrible mood.. On my list is anger at T.. Emailed Monday evenings, asking about wed at 5pm appointment he offered to me last week.. Since it was time sensitive, I expected at least a yes or no.. But nothing. Blah!

That sucks, healed. It's possible that your email or his reply was lost... can you call and ask about it?

It is possible... Or it is possible, that he just hasn't checked his account. Calling wouldn't get me anywhere he is worse at calling back. Not choosing to think rationally about it at the moment

LOLA! Here is an example of computers hating me. I was working on a project. On 10/21, I had a phone conference with two people and asked for certain information. I got an email from one person with part of the information but never heard from the other person. I check my email pretty obsessively and never got an email. Today, they called and wanted to know why they had not heard from me. I checked my email again -- no emails from this guy and 0 unread emails. I emailed back and said I had not received the information from X, and if it had been sent previously, please re-send it. Ten minutes later, I have an unread email, dated 10/21/13 that just suddenly appeared from X. I know that he must have sent it in response to my email, but it is dated 10/21/13. How the **** does that happen? I checked for an email from X literally ten minutes before.

Was this person added to your address book? Did this person's email appear to be spam? Maybe they forgot to send it? Maybe the computer God's hate you.

MKAC - the email got stuck in the person's DRAFT folder. Maybe the internet was down when s/he sent it, or their network was clogged or whatever...it happens. People don't think to check their draft folder. Then when the person went looking in their sent folder and couldn't find it, they did a search and POW up came the draft and they sent it..but it keeps the original date. Weird how microsoft can mess you up, isn't it?

And APT/Mast....I LOVE your new status!

(((Healed))) I'm sorry T didn't respond. That was quite stupid of him.

OH, and guess what. When H came home I whispered to him that I couldn't find mother's taxes and he whispered "Wiki, Taxchick put this year's taxes in bright-assed orange envelopes, you couldn't have misplaced it" Just then a picture of the envelope came into my mind and I knew exactly where it was. Dear sweet H, what would I do without him?

Hello Couch

Hugs all around to all yous guys.

I have a pounding headache and failed miserably at work today when one child screamed at the top of her lungs for over an hour and I could not get her to calm down. The mom had to come home and she could not get her to calm down either. Her mom picked her up, and the child bit her, kicked her and the child screamed for me. Then when I tried to console her and redirect her, that didn't work either. What a mess. The child was so worked up that I could not take her to school and she stayed home. She explained later that she was angry at her mom for going to work and she wanted me to tell her not to go so mommy, jersey and her could play together while sister went to school. What a mess. Then the child cried off and on all day. Full blown tantrums at the drop of a hat. Very difficult day. Twin sister dealt with it like a champ though. Bless her.

Wiki - that is great news about the old lady. I think sometimes they just disagree because they always disagree. With some of us, anyway. I am so glad you just told her what's what. There may still be some blowback, but we'll be ready to blow black!
Thanks for this!

It's really hard to handle others peoples kids in those situations. Your also restricted on how to physically restrain them when having a tantrum like that. There's actually a protocol to follow on how to embrace them safely without accidentally hurting them and also to protect yourself.

My W had to be certified via a class on child restraining for Public schools... haha nice huh. Sorry you had to go through that, this is one of the reasons I never finished my teaching degree, I would have been fired by day 3.
