W just called and a girl who lives down the road from her father just showed up at his door with her backpack and school books and asked if he would take her to the Salvation Army as her step dad just kicked her out. He has known this kid for years and she is a good kid, doesnt drive, doesn't go out or have many friends etc. I can't believe some parents! She said she had no one to call and didnt know where the Salvation Army even was ( 12 miles from her house ) but that is where they told her to go , so she did. I am heartbroken over this, as it brings back memories of my own. WTF is wrong with people?

feeling sad but relieved that it is done...

Sent an email saying cancel all session because i cant afford it and then dropped off final payment to his office when i knew he wouldnt be there...havent seen him in 2 weeks so i am weaned off him.

Wrote a letter to send to T2... Will send it snail mail tomorrow... Hoping i worded it nicely enough to show my gratitude for everything even though her changing behavior between 2 sessions hurt me deeply.

YT won(or lost from his perspective)...

There's no way I'm going to catch up on the couch. My AD's seem to have kicked in big time. I actually made it to my second employment appt. Still a bit down as i didn't get the pathology job at the hospital, but hey ho.
So how has everyone been?
I felt that way about my laptop this morning as windows seemed to take centuries "configuring an update"

Lola....How old do you think girl is? High school or college age? This happened to a friend our senior year of high school... She lived with a different friends family for weeks then a former student teacher we all loved... Older college student... Signed up to be a foster parent so she could live with her till she turned 18...

Hi all I just need some advice. I'm having problems with my D orthodontist on my payments for her treatment. I have talked to the finance manager and explained my situation re unemployed etc. Now she sent me a letter saying the bill is going to be sent to a debt collector. Do you think if I sent her an income statement and asked her to work out a suitable payment plan this would be ok? Or is that being childish?

BPA...I am not sure of the financial laws where you live. Here in the states, they have to accept the payments you give, and you can continue sending payments to the debt holder even after sent to collection. So, I would just make payments you can afford, and don't worry about the collectors.

Here, some medical providers will write off bills or reduce them if you send an income statement, and create payment plans. I am not sure about bills for 'unnecessary services' like orthodontia. In any event, it cannot hurt to ask for a payment plan and provide proof of income.

RTS, she is 18 and a senior in school. W's dad went and picked her up and drove her to school this morning and she is going to ride the bus home tonight and talk to her mom. If they try to send her back to the Salvation Army W is going to let her stay with her tonight and call the school and speak with the counselor and/or Admin on her behalf to help find her suitable housing.

The thing that made me smile about his reply is that I sent the I'm stopping email and expected nothing in reply... I didn't ask him his opinion or ask him to reply or word anything as a question so he didn't have to reply.

But he has a client privacy policy to not discuss anything via email more than schedule or fees or we can talk about this more next session. So it looks like he'd like to say something but his own rules are preventing him. and that in some odd way makes me smile.
