You know I only get one real tv channel, CBS - well tonight they kinda mentioned somebody from the couch! I'm half listening, and I think it was on the new Robin Williams sitcom where a character mentions somebody "lumbering around like a drunken mastodon" - I was like - surely not OUR sweet little mastodon?! Anyway, you so rarely hear the word, it was really strange to think, hey they are mentioning my friend- ?!

Good Morning.

Cleaning day for me. And laundry. Sigh.
My back pain has gotten better, but it's settled in my SI joints, both sides, so it hurts to sit. I have a real pain in the A S S . ha ha ha Bearable though. Hopefully this is it on it's way OUT.
Juice Day 15. I have successfully dropped a full 10 mg of prednisone! No diarrhea, no chest pain. My brain fog is gone, and I have energy.

Good morning yous guys.

Wiki:So proud and happy for you. I hope the pain subsides soon.

Stepped away for a few minutes. My hand is still gray. And scaly. And cracked. I'll ask my boss today if she thinks I need medical attention or if I can just wrap it up.

After that conversation with my H last night, I realized one thing: that my fear is very real. He is really that frigging oblivious and dumb.

Oh, Jersey!! I don't think they Lysol product you mentioned has bleach, but if it did, yes... don't mix that with anything, although the danger there is chlorine gas.

It's probably the acid in bar keeper's friend. Unfortunately all you can do is rinse it, like you did, and dress it like a burn.

Lucky for you, acid burns like yours are probably the best chemical damage you can sustain. The damage should be pretty local and if you take care of the wound you should be ok. I don't think anything you used is going to cause any systemic or long-term damage. You can call the Poison Control Center for more advice, though, from people who know way more than probably most of us do.

Take care of yourself! I'm so sorry that this kind of highlights the difficult situation you're in now, with medical coverage and H's job and everything.

On my way home after a funeral. So emotionally drained. He was a colleague, somebody I liked but didn't know that well... we worked together a lot when we were phd students but over the last few years we haven't seen much of each other. So not a personal grief, but it was so, so sad and tragic.

Sorry Mast, the death of an acquaintance can be devastating. And any death by tragic circumstance can also bring up feelings of general sadness and disbelief. It just reminds us of how precious little time we have and that we are mortal too.

Yes, that's it, exactly. And it's been a while since I had suidical thoughts, but right now I feel that I want to live, and live, and live until I'm one hundred and seven years old, and surrounded by great-great-great grandnieces and nephews. I'll force them to take me for rides in a wheelchair and tell long boring stories about the days before the Internet even existed. So there.

Also, I want to say that I really appreciate you all. Each and every one of you. So there, too.

Good Afternoon Couch,

Just got back from my 3rd t appt this week. 2 with my personal t and one with my ED t. Plus an appt to refill my drug pump on Tuesday and a neurology appt this morning too. I've had enough of appts this week, trust me!

I think I cried at every t appt this week. I was very honest, not that I'm not usually, but you know what I mean. A lot of deep, dark secrets came out. Quite painful. Now I'm trying to figure out how to deal with the repercussions of sharing them. Anxiety, flashbacks, depression, sui thoughts, etc. To make things better, I'm doing things to ground myself, using mindfulness techniques, distraction, basically whatever works at the moment. Sometimes successful, sometimes not.

Wiki- happy to hear things worked out with your mother and her apartment.
Jersey- hope your hand improves day by day. Sorry to hear about your husband's reaction.
BPA- sorry to hear about the job. Good luck with the orthodontist office.
Mastodon- I'm so sorry to hear about your friend's passing. I had the same feelings of wanting to keep living while attending my husband's grandmother's funeral recently. Goes against what I'm usually feeling, so I should try and hang onto those thoughts. Now that I'm writing this, I'm realizing it's the 1yr anniversary of my husband's uncles passing.
Healed- I hope you have a good weekend. I'm sorry you didn't hear from your T.
Granite- I read what you wrote yesterday. I don't believe any of it. You're an inspiration to me. The more you're able to talk in t and push yourself, the more I'm able to see that therapy works.
MUE- hope everything is going okay. Please check in.
Everyone else-
