Mast... I know I'm not Wiki... but we have a lot of different denominations of protestant churches here in the US. I attend a Methodist church. They have communion once a month and they actually use grape juice and wafers...

RTS - yes, there are Methodists and Baptists and a few other Lutheran denominations here as well, but I confess that I don't know as much as I should about their curtoms surrounding communion.

hankster, I am utterly flattered! Thank you! And so glad you are enjoying it.

Thanks for the encouragement, LOL. Actually, I'm still waiting for my mom to contact me to let me know when they're ready to go. She was attending a meeting after church and then making pb&j sandwiches for the homeless as a church project....looks like it's going to be dinner rather than lunch now.

I just did a whole load of laundry...does that count for something? Considering I ran the load 3 times before actually putting it into the dryer. Kept letting the wet clothes sit in the washer because I didn't have the energy to go back down to put them in the dryer. Pathetic.

I haven't showered yet....How about I commit to doing the taxes tomorrow?

I did pay my car insurance....and am about to start my invoicing for work from the last few days.

Im not Wiki either but in my area the only denomination I know that does communion every week is Catholics and a few non denominational churches. And yes, most are not wine anymore... just grape juice.

I am smoking some fatties.(sausage with cheese and greens rolled up and placed in a smoker. I am also doing a beef one with spinach, mushrooms and red pepper).

One of my favorite juices is ginger apple carrot kale.
And I love beet in most juices.

I have this huge resistance to just going "awww" when others around me are doing so, even where I know "awww" is appropriate, but not my personal response. It is not my personal response to almost anything.
I must ask my father what planet we are originally from.

I call Frenchie...I've got the pink hair.

SD...you crack me up. Just made me laugh even though I am in a grouchy mood.

Mast: I hope I don't go into too much detail, but...we do communion once a month. We have large Jewish crackers (Matzos) that we break pieces off of (symbolic of Christ's body being broken). They pass the trays of matzos around with a glass of wine (real deal), we dip the piece of matzo into the wine. It's traditionally celebrated on the first Sunday of the month. There is grape juice available for the young congregants and for people who don't drink alcohol.

ETA: my church denomination is Post Modern Christian. (very, very informal setting)

This is frikkin annoying. My mom texted at 3:15 PM saying they are almost ready to go and that she'd text me when they're ready to head out to the restaurant. It's now an hour later and still nothing....maybe it's my blood sugar dropping that's causing me to be annoyed since I've had nothing but coffee today. For a while, I was thinking - hmm, maybe I should have a snack first - then having second thoughts, saying that we'd be having lunch soon so nevermind. Hours later, here I am.

You have to get on my food schedule - breakfast by noon, lunch by 4, dinner by 9. Normal people know this automatically. I don't know why I think I don't have to abide by this. What am I, Superman? No, just fat.

Im guessing your clients are not always the sharpest tool in the shed? Blunt - a joint rolled in a cigar wrapper, and those things came into reality long after my party days were over.

Well...I definitely never felt like doing laundry today. This morning when I wrote about it, I thought I might change my mind later and do it. I didn't. I ended up eating a chicken patty (I ran out of buns to make a sandwich) and french fries (baked in the oven) made from real potatoes...not those bagged type...I actually sliced the potatoes myself. My family always called these french fries, though if I think about it, they aren't "fried" so maybe that is not the proper thing to call them. What are they considered? Potato wedges?

Haha, same here Lola. When i heard that she was rolling a fattie i wondered if it meant the same thing, and then realised it obviously didn't!

Really not looking forward to going to work tomorrow (or all week actually). Oh well, no choice really.
