I mailed in my Jury Questionnaire, and said that since I served in the last 365 days that I don't have to report for Jury Duty this time.

I last served on February 26, 2013 and the scheduled date for Jury Duty in this summons was for February 18, 2014 so I ended up making the cutoff to be excused by just over a week .

Cheech and Chong (Sister Mary Elephant), Mel Brooks movies, an outside area at high school where we could go smoke cigarettes legally at age 16, "feathered" hair, maxi skirts, peasant blouses, denim overalls made just for girls (which we called bib overalls, or just plain "bibs"), hip-huggers on one extreme and high-waisted jeans on the other, short shorts, halter tops, "The Brady Bunch", David Cassidy, The Monkees...

Hope to get to know each of you better. In the meantime, thanks for making me feel better while I'm down with the flu.

Squirrel, hope your illness is short-lived.
I would say that it got bad in the 80s, rebounded in the early 90s, was up and down for the early part of the 2000s but for the last 6 or 7 years has been very good.

What use is an unsupportive T?

I'm seeing my T next Monday after about 3 months. Tried to get in sooner, but she's all booked up. I'm never going that long again without seeing her. I thought I could do it, but it's been a nightmare.

According to WikiPedia:

Ava Elizabeth (Buffy) Patterson-Davis

I'd forgotten all about the older sister, Cissy.

I obviously have too much time on my hands. I just thought of another huge 1970's change--HBO, the first cable television programming.

and then in late 1976 you had the first basic cable station Ted Turner's superstition WTBS (called TBS to the rest of the country)

then in 1979 ESPN went on the air, which really signaled the Cable TV revolution

TV history (and especially cable TV history) is one of my specialties

Called the dr about 3 since I hadn't heard from them. I got the secretary's voicemail so I left a message with my question and requested a medical assistant call me back. Medical assistant just called. She said the strep and flu test came back negative and the urine test showed I was severely dehydrated so the dr wanted me to increase my fluids. She said if I am not better in 7 days the dr wants me to come back in. Guess I just needed to prove to myself that it was just a nasty bug by going to the dr. I slept most of today. I feel a little better. Still have a headache. But I am less nauseous, just not hungry still. I think as long as I don't eat until dinner, I should be able to eat 350-400 calories to take my AP. That will be the test.

Should be able to go to work tomorrow. I will just take throat drops to suck on all day if my throat is still sore. And tylenol if my headache comes back in the middle of the day.

Hopefully the kids won't drive me nuts tomorrow.

Well...off to rest a little before I attempt to eat some dinner.

I hope everyone has a good rest of the day.

Hi Couch! wishing everyone a good night or day wherever you are. I texted T again today with another disappointing reply. Just to confirm the day we will next meet. I really need to ask her about this and maybe address the boundary issue. I think I need a new T! I have been so desperate over the weekend and would never text unless really necessary but she just isn't there for me. But perhaps I am just too needy.... Xxxx

Aloneandafraid...
I would definitely talk to T about the precise boundaries she has with regards to texting. Texting can be problematic for some people because often there can be a let down when the reply received is compared to what might have been expected by a client. The same often goes for email for a lot of people. The response is often brief and to the point from T. If you don't talk to T about it in session...be very clear about what u need in your next text. Then if you don't receive it...talk to T about her boundaries with texting/emailing.

Welcome tametc!
Yes, were the first in the neighborhood to get PAY TV (cable), my mom kept saying that there was no way people would ever pay for tv. (guess what mom?) lol. Dad got it because you could watch the Jets games. lol.

Chug a lug Squirrel. Water, Juice...gatoraid, coconut water are premo, but just plain H2O is great. It will get the sick out of your system quickly.

Granite...you aren't faking. You're not a hypochondriac. You're taking care of yourself.

Just managed to eat a full meal so I could take my AP. Hopefully I didn't overdo it and it will all stay down. Need to hop in the shower soon as it is getting late. Have C in the morning, then it will be off to work. I guess I will take in a reusable water bottle so I can keep filling it up to try to drink a lot. I have one somewhere, I just have to find it.

I am feeling a lot better after sleeping today. Missing work was probably a good thing.
