It turns out that they didn't put me or the other person at fault. The claims person said it just says "tenative" so after 2 years they can't decide who's at fault?

Anyway....I guess all we could do is wait and see what happens. Because I think whosever at fault plays a part in how much she will get.

Just got home from the dr. He said he saw no signs of a bacterial infection and thinks it may be viral. But just in case he sent me down to the lab for a flu test, a strep test, and an urinalysis to make sure the UTI didn't come back. He said it may sound stupid but because I am of childbearing age insurance requires he do a pregnancy test too even if I am abstinent. He said once I was done in the lab, he should have the results in about an hour and would give me a call. He said if they find anything that he will call a prescription in for me, otherwise it is viral and could take up to 10 days to get out of my system.

Since I was in there on the 3rd for follow-up for the UTI I have lost 5 pounds. 5 pounds in 10 days is a lot. I assume it is because I haven't eaten in 2 days because I've been too nauseous to.

ETA: He has no way of knowing if you will be a long term client, so...

Yeah, I would do that, too. In fact, I have asked my T. Not that I know his age, but he's told me at various times things that together add up to his being over 60. So I asked him if he was planning on retiring soon, and he replied that he a) wasn't planning on retiring anytime within the next several years, and b) would not have taken me on for long-term therapy if he had planned to retire sooner.

I think you should ask, someone.

Both of the ones I see are late 60's early 70's. I just asked about retirement, both said they had no plans. I am old enough that if any of us dropped over, it would not shock the conscious.

Well...the dr also said I should try to eat a little, even if I start with something small like a couple of crackers or a handful of pretzels. I don't have any saltines, and cheez-its sound gross right now, so I guess I will go try to eat a couple pretzels. Hopefully I will be able to keep them down.

Hello, new couch.

I must say today's been quite a good day. I'm exhausted and stressed out about my exam on Friday but I aced my anatomy oral exam today (100 % correct answers) and I finally got the books my parents got me for Christmas (a beautiful The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit box set, a book called Genome: the Autobiography of a Species in 23 chapters by Matt Ridley and another book called The Fault In Our Stars by John Green)!

I'll probably get really anxious about the upcoming exam again tomorrow, but tonight I'm trying to focus on all the good things that have happened today.

Hope you're well,

neutrino

I asked my T 3 years ago if she was retiring. But she is only currently 49. So back then may have made her 46...oops. lol

Well haven't heard from the dr yet. I will give it till about 2:30 then if they still haven't called I will call his office and ask about it. He said he would know in about an hour when I was in there.

Forced myself to eat a couple handfuls of pretzels earlier. So far I am keeping then down.

I just looked it up - it's interesting that the youngest girl was called Buffy. I thought Joss Whedon made that name up.

Hello, Couch! Reading today cheered me up and I couldn't resist joining in the fun (and support). I must say, it's a good thing I don't mind that I'm getting old(er), because I'm one of the fossils here. I was born in 1961, graduated high school in 1979. Original SNL was brilliant! Cheech and Chong (Sister Mary Elephant), Mel Brooks movies, an outside area at high school where we could go smoke cigarettes legally at age 16, "feathered" hair, maxi skirts, peasant blouses, denim overalls made just for girls (which we called bib overalls, or just plain "bibs"), hip-huggers on one extreme and high-waisted jeans on the other, short shorts, halter tops, "The Brady Bunch", David Cassidy, The Monkees...

Hope to get to know each of you better. In the meantime, thanks for making me feel better while I'm down with the flu.

Squirrel, hope your illness is short-lived.
