I need to apply for jobs but haven't got the energy. Had a really awful weekend, shouted at constantly and now feel pathetic for not responding. T absolutely no support. I need support but there isn't anyone. I hate feeling like this.

Wishing everyone a great week. Sorry to be down.

But that's a general term. I was referring to more specific terms to refer to "person born in [decade]". Like "40-talist", meaning "person born in the 1940s". Those are very commonly used terms in Swedish, they are not specialist terminology, but I'm not aware of any corresponding words in English.

At a party the other day, I was asked about my age, and replied with the year I was born without thinking twice about it. I don't think I would do that in English.

They open in 20 minutes.

Called the dr they said they have an opening at 10:20. I took it. After I called I went to take my morning meds (since I don't have to eat with them). It hurt to swallow. Also took my temp it was 98.7 which is high for me as I am usually in the 98.0 range. Still nauseous, even the thought if food makes me want to puke. Thank god you can live without eating for a few days. It's water you can't live without.

I wa on the phone for only 2 minutes. She said forward me the docs in email, she will then forward them to the claims department then the claims department Will assign me an attorney. And contact me if they need anything or need me to appear. She said these things can take awhile plus The docs say 300 day discovery.

Jersey - it is not unusual for lawsuits to take a year or two, sometimes longer. It is usually not fast or even particularly efficient.

Squirrel...good luck w/the doc.
Jerz...good luck with insurance.

Mast... I have no issues telling the year of my birth...1965. People frequently ask "what year were your born" I think the older generations may have been shy about it though. We do say "I'm a 60's child" or "product of the 60's" I really can't remember the 60's though at all...I do remember the 70's (mostly late 70's). I graduated from 8th grade in 79.

Movies... I hated the Godfather, I was more the Bad News Bears, Smokey and the Bandit, American Graffiti, Foxes...etc

Actors.. Scott Baio, Willy Ames, Kristy McNichol, Tatum ONeil, John Travolta

TV: Chico and the Man, Sanford and Son, All in the Family, Welcome Back Kotter, What's Happening

AND THE VARIETY SHOWS! Omg...Sonny & Cher, Smother's Brothers, Sha Na Na, Tony Orlando and Dawn... and so on!

The 1970s TV show I remember (and still love) is The Muppet Show. I never liked Sesame Street (it wasn't shown in Sweden, I think, so I was in my teens when I encountered it) but the Muppet Show was actually pretty brilliant. I've watched it on DVD recently and it really stands the test of time.

I'm working on a letter to bring to T tomorrow. I made a pact with somebody in another thread, so now I have to bring it in. (I'm sure it's a good thing but I'm kind of scared to do it.)

I've just discovered (stupid internet! ) that my T is 67 (but looks 15 years younger) - what if he gets retired soon?! I only hope that he wouldn't start seeing new clients just before getting retired...

Not to brag, but my generation saw:
the original sesame street.
the original SNL.
the original TV dinner.
the first video games.
The original hamburger helper.
the invention of the auto drip coffee maker (mr. coffee)
the invention of the microwave.
the first color tvs.
the remote control.
the first mobile phones (car phones)
the bicentennial
the first computers in the classroom

Mast - good luck with the letter. Just write from your heart.
Someone - I doubt a t would take in someone for long term therapy if they were planning on retiring soon.

Oh gash - what should I do? Two weeks ago, when I had some issues with my T and I thought that he doesn't have any empathy or even he's a bit sadistic, I thought about dinding another T, I found one great with a trauma-work experience and sent her an e-mail with a question if she has some free spots. She didn't reply but since that time I had 2 more sessions with my T and actually he's great... But today she replied that she has a spot, and I can call her (yeah right - me and calling) to make an appointment. I would just ignore her e-mail but what if in some months I decide that actually my T is not the T which I need and I want to try with her? So I shouldn't ignore her... What should I do then?

Just go try the new out is what I would do. You don't have to commit. I usually explain I am trying a few out and they seem to be able to handle that.

Thanks, but right now, I really want to stay with my T and I even cannot imagine seeing someone else... I just do not want to ignore her e-mail as I don't want to put on fire all bridges behind me...

How is just going once to see what she is like a big deal? I would go check her out, if only to have a possibility for the future. But that is me.
