Feeling a bit abandoned by t.. Though, I realize that I generally feel like people abandon me a lot and this probably all in my head! Just how I am feeling tonight!

LOL. You DO understand. The frustrating thing is that our house is actually pretty cold right now because our furnace is working only sporadically, yet I wake up burning up and sweating several times every night. Not fun.

I actually see him this week on Friday.. We had some misunderstanding about his schedule for the holidays.. Ended up missing an appointment, him canceling one.. Making a three week break when I thought we weren't going to missing any appointments!

I'm watching one of those tiny house shows on tv right now, while I would not want to actually live in one (my house is small enough at 1,100 square feet) I would LOVE to have a tiny building in my backyard to use for an office. I'm almost tempted to build one. I've helped frame walls and done drywall, but there would still be a bit to learn. It would be quite a project but dang wouldn't I feel accomplished if I managed to actually do it?! I wouldn't need electricity or anything fancy, just a quiet space with a desk and chair just for ME. I wonder how hard it would be.
Thanks for this!

I watched a tree-house show at my sister's on Christmas so now I want one of those. Also need a desk and shelving incorporated into my bedroom which is already bursting at the seams.

I'm in the wrong line of work!

ARGGH! Why do I do these things? I've let my ex make me feel bad, again. To touch, I feel bad after the small hugs we were doing as obviously he is confusing matey type hugs as loving hugs. I don't know how to stop this. My T would say "Seems like P has his own issues"

I was trying to talk to him about our marriage and he couldn't see the abuse. Because he never hit me or abused me physically he doesn't see the abuse

Can commiserate. Over the counter Estroven Nightime for 3-4 months was helpful.

Hugs, I'm going through something similar and it sucks. Reminds me strongly why we are no longer a couple!

I guess counseling is not an option for your H? It might make him see his own errors.

Whitey for short. After The Beaver's friend, and for his white spots, and because they started to end apartheid in 1983.

Eta - dont mind me, i am all about the nickname!

Want to see what I do in my spare time?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?featur...&v=FRfZwb3xI3o

I'm in there actually quite a bit this year actually. For your viewing pleasure . . .

BTW: They only televise about half on the concert. It's actually a two hour concert that they whittle down to this length for the telecast. Unfortunately, in doing so, they always leave off the most classical (and personally the best) pieces in their effort to make it friendly to the masses (I suppose). Still a nice concert to watch.

Mast what makes it worse is he works with victims of domestic abuse, and would home discuss details which would be almost exactly our situation.

Hmph. I just wrote a lovely self-absorbent rant about not wanting to go to work today and my internet crapped out so it got lost somewhere. Oh well. Have a fabulous day everyone!

Blech. Breakups suck. A good friend was talking about the awesome gift she gave her spouse for Christmas, and I was reminded of how much I loved coming up with unique present ideas for my STBX. She wasn't doing it to show off, and I was interested in how her spouse liked it, but it still hurts to be reminded that I didn't do anything like that this year. ETA: I was able to focus on getting great gifts for the kids in my family, which I guess is a good distraction.

I haven't been to a therapist in years (no time, can't afford co-pay now). But now starting my kids. Various reasons. Don't see him 'til next Monday. My kids don't really want to go, but I'm looking forward to it again for the first time in a very long time.
