I have started mixing my green teas with other teas (ginger lemon green tea, black and green tea, all of the zingers and a bag of green tea, green tea and mint tea) - not rocket science I know, but still something I had not thought to do until now. I am particularly fond of mixing a bag of green tea and a bag of stash's ginger tea.

I am fond of a mix of Lapsang Souchong and Earl Grey (which are the only flavoured teas I like).

That sounds interesting. I know Earl Grey is used in a lot of different ways. I dislike it a lot, but I have used it as an ingredient in a complicated marinade that turned out quite nicely.

Ginger tea with more ginger is a good thing.
More cowbell.

It is pretty easy to make ginger syrup when you run out. I don't add it to tea because I don't usually like sweet tea, but I have added it to rum and used it in cooking. You can even add other spices and make it as hot or mild as you like.
When I have a really bad head cold, I do add a slug of American Honey by Wild Turkey along with some ginger, lemon and cinnamon to my black tea. I don't know if it helps the cold, but it does help me not care about the cold.

I put a bag of good earth "sweet and spicy" in with almost everything. I think it has crack in it. Other teas just do not do it for me. altho i do love a good zinger.

I add honey to my tea when I have a cold, too. And I drink hot whisky with lemon, cloves, and honey. (I just googled American Honey and realise that this is pretty much what sd just said. I have never tried bourbon whiskey though.)

I like the good earth if I am in a chai-y mood. We have a box of it in the cabinet.

I use chopped fresh ginger and liquid honey in a couple of salmon dishes I sometimes make... looks like ginger syrup might be an alternative to that.

Note to self (and others) : having ridiculous amounts of diet coke after 19:00 is not a wise idea if one has to wake up super early and needs to go to sleep... Hopefully I'll get at least a 3 hour nap tonight. What was I thinking?!

People who want to beat me up or continually try to foist their solutions on me and justify it by saying they do it because they care unsettle me. But it does keep me reminded on why I don't start threads other than polls anymore. A useful thing. The last time I forgot it I had to ask to have three threads deleted over a short period of time. I know why I want people who insist they care to stay very far away from me.

There are various makers of the honey bourbon/whiskey substance. Some are better than others. I like the Wild Turkey American Honey. I did not like the Jack Daniels version. Of course, I like Wild Turkey itself better than Jack Daniels too - so there is that.

I avoid starting threads, too. I think that is a sign that I am less masochistic these day than I used to be. (In the case of the thread I think you are referring to I don't really agree with you, sd, but I don't think my opinions would change anything one way or another, and it is not my thread or my life so I'm staying out of it.)
Thanks for this!

I am very fond of Scotch, personally. Problem is that once you open a bottle it starts to go off. And I don't drink very often, or very much at a time, so the liquor cupboard is full of half-empty bottles that ought to have been finished a year ago or more.

yams whiskey maple syrup recipe
similiar to this
Whisky Or Bourbon) Baked Sweet Potatoes Or Yams) Recipe - Food.com

but slice 1/2 inch to 1/4" thick pieces, 1 layer in pan. Much better looking and tasting than the pic shows

no substitutions (NO sugar free syrup, no fakey Mrs Butterworth) Substitutions=disaster with this recipe
Thanks for this!
