Wow this is the slowest most boring Monday in the history. Usually the busiest day of the week. Everyone must be hung-over from yesterday's party, or sick, and not feel like calling!

I need a nap! Not going to happen, but nice to contemplate. Maybe tonight I will fall asleep early, sleep through the night, and wake up refreshed tomorrow. Yes there are pigs flying around my office right now!

So sad that a good night's sleep is up higher on my wish list than winning the lottery or taking a vacation.

Hobby horse. English has at least twenty expressions for snow, from "Siberian cocaine" to "Santa's grotto".

I have enough wallowing and begging in real life, thank you very much!

I think that sleeping half the day, and lounging around watching tv for the other half, is exactly what I needed to do today. I had not called in sick to work since LAST February, so wasn't worried about getting written up or anything like a lot of other people at work are. I just got an email from the girl scout council about some online training that I need to do, before I can start my volunteering with them, so I am going to start working on that this afternoon. This gives me more impetus to get over this flu thing!! I can't believe how excited I am feeling about getting back into scouting. It's like, it's already starting to fill up something inside of me that I didn't really recognize was empty until recently when t and I were talking about how I can use my love of the outdoors and girl scouts came up. I'm so pumped!!!

StressedMess, I am sending good thoughts your way for a good night's sleep tonight!

CE: i never heard those terms for snow. I grew up in a place where we got lots of snow every winter and school got cancelled often, and I never called it anything but snow. Well, that's not true. I now refer to it as "that cold white stuff that belongs only on the tops of the mountains."
Thanks for this!

Thanks. My kid is 16 so I don't have to worry about taking care of him, he pretty much takes care of himself. And hubby, while he acts like a kid a lot of the time, is smart enough to know when I am sick, he is better off taking care of himself or I will make him wish he had. I am totally filter-less when I am sick.

LOL I wish I could be filter-less when sick! I will have to try next time.

I need to teach my husband to take care of himself haha... I remember being pregnant and sick. We were all sick. I had to take care of him and our toddler as well as myself... while 8.5 months pregnant. He gets the typical "man cold" that is worse on men than it is on women.

Magic? Seriously, I wish for you that you could make it happen. It is good for the soul. My mom has a huge tub with spa jets or whatever they are called, whenever I visit I sequester myself in there. It's how I am able to get through those rare visits with my family back in the midwest. My bathtub at home is too small!

I could totally go for a bath one of these days. I remember the days before I had kids... Reading in the tub with a bottle of champagne... sometimes my husband would sit in the bedroom and play songs on his guitar while I was in the bath. I miss those days. Now that bathroom has a cat box in it and I feel like I would need to strip the tub down to get it clean enough... Maybe I should. I really need some bath time.

Yep... That's how it happens. And now we cannot get another one due to my baby's girls health issue, so once he passes than that is it.

Thanks. That was bothering me a significant amount every time I looked at her book on my desk.

I didn't get my bath today. Hopped in for a quick shower :P I have a huge tub with jets but the jets need to be sorely cleaned. I have to fill up the tub and run it with bleach. I guess I could do that tonight and then it would be clean for another day.

But usually I just settle for a very deep bath with salts and oils... when I can get one in.

I miss having a bathtub. The sauna is nice, but it is not a substitute for a bathtub.

So many posts I don' t have time to read. My internet was down yesterday, and while techie was waiting for another department to call he back he suggested I pay my bill. I said yes but forgot that the money was reserved for my debt with T. I sort of promised T would start paying him back this week. I have enough to pay him for today. Hopefully he will be usual forgiving self but I feel bad because I am 2 sessions behind in payments.

Now I'm curious about the snow discussion. I might skip sweeping and lie on the couch a bit.

The bathtub I have now really deep and only being a small person I feel kind of stupid like being in a Giants bathtub.

I have bad eczema. If I take hot showers, I end up blotchy and red and itchy. So a bath with oil helps keep my skin moisturized.

Yay the electrician arrived early. He has gone again to get a replacement wall fan. I hope this means I don't have to rush to T.
