Good for you on the job. And I thought you did have a new place lined up? I hope you get to move out of the shelter soon.

For all the cat lovers
14+ Crazy Cats That Actually Love Water | Bored Panda

We had a cat that used to turn the taps on for a drink. She never learned to turn them off though. She also liked the dialtone ot the phone and if it rang she would knock the handset off. We would come home to the phone on the floor and a p***ed off cat.

Thanks everyone
Yeah, the job is great news - now I don't have to worry about $$$ for the apartment. I should be excited, but I'm not. I suppose I've been holding it in for a while.

Hopefully I'll get to move by the middle of the month.

I can't remember the last time I had a bath. I miss the swimming pool at my old apartment though. I used to go swimming in the morning after getting the kids off to school... Sometimes at night after getting home from work too. That was really nice - lying in the pool staring at the stars...

Once I was allergic to an antibiotic I took and had them for two years after that. My allergist said he had something similar happen and that it's really hard to turn them off once they start...tell me about it!

I just joined but can't seem to motivate myself to do a formal intro so I'll just jump in.

I often get veggies from a kind of community supported agriculture box-a-week thing without the commitment. Thursday, besides the produce box I got supplemental green garlic. Oh so much. Using it up is heavenly. Green garlic in oatmeal, with eggs, on toast, mixed into hummus, pasta...more than at every meal. Garlic, garlic, garlic. Oh my.

I took the antibiotic Ceclor for strep throat. I got a horrible case of hives right away. Only time I've had to deal with it.. Thank goodness

I can't eat pineapple...but that's a gastrointestinal issue (tmi). And it might only be canned pineapple, but I don't want to find out the hard way!
As for steroids, I was given a ton of prednisone at the end of 2013 for sinus infections before I had my sinus surgery, and it dried the heck out of my nose and sinuses; they are still dried out from the pred...sooooooo...no more 'roids!!

Ugh, this winter seems unusually long to me.. The winter does seem to make me a bit more down than any other seasons. We are looking at another day with negative wind chills tomorrow.

I am not going to get depressed... I have been doing so well lately!

Holy moly, skunks are horrific!!!! I have had a dog sprayed before but holy hell it is horrid this time!! My dog cornered a skunk in our crawl space and got it full blast from inches away in the face AND IT IS COMING UP THROUGH THE HEATER DUCTS. Holy hell this is horrible. I have bathed the dog twice but man my house reeks. I will never ever again say skunks are cute and relatively harmless.

Answered my own question. I'm going to do an experiment on the comfort levels of clients when a blanket and pillow are offered in the therapist's office. May as well take a page from my own personal whack-job issue.

It will be interesting to see how many people would feel uneasy at a blanket and pillow in the office.

Will those items sit there or will they be offered for use? I'm predicting that most people might feel uncomfortable using those items without an invitation.
Thanks for this!

I would think the therapist had taken a total leave of their senses if one had offered me a pillow and blanket. Ack Ack Ack. I don't like to wrap up in blankets unless I am in bed to begin with. To be wrapped up and unable to defend myself around a therapist would be madness. If it is cold at the therapist's - I would simply keep my coat on.
I have no idea what someone would do with a pillow.

My T has offered me a blanket when I've mentioned being chilly. No thanks, I'd rather be cold. I'm not comfortable with that kind of care from her.

See now this has uncovered one of my own whack-job issues, lol.
