So after a full day: 2 hours of picking up trash along the side of a road first thing this morning as a volunteer project with work, then running some errands, then swimming for an hour, then doing laundry, ending with the above-mentioned hike and drumming circle, this girl is bushed! I'm heading to bed. Night couch!! (or, g'morning depending on where you are!)

The AZ desert has so many hidden treasures! You just have to find them... and in my case, it took me getting my brave on that first time I went to a meetup with this group. I was so nervous but my spirit wanted it so bad that I was able to make myself go. I had NO idea that first time I went of the magic that was in store for me!

Morning, couch.

I had a fairly good night's sleep. Slept the whole night through, no potty breaks.

Don't work until 6pm tonight, so I have the entire day to relax. Late shift tonight (till 11:15pm). Then to be back at 10am tomorrrow for my Monday day shift. Short shift on Monday though, so I can come home and chill late afternoon and early evening. Weird schedule, but it's hours.

Still need to finish cleaning. Lol. I just have to find the time and energy. Maybe Monday afternoon.

Well, I'll quit blabbing now. Have a good day, couch.
Thanks for this!

My partner is driving a few hours away to pick up an aviary. First she has to stop and pick up a trailer from a friend. I need to stay behind because I am the on call vet for a big horse show this weekend. ( but I am just on call, I don't need to be there I just can't be hours away) . I don't think today is a great day for me to be alone for 8 hours. It's pouring out so riding horses is out. I need to clean parrot cages but I am not motivated. I could do billing for sork. I'm just pretty certain in am going to get very very depressed once she leaves. I just don't feel like being alone today.

I'm in a foul mood. Something very unpleasant (for me) happened here at home a couple of days ago, and then last night I dreamt about that situation only involving other people, and it was really nice. I hate my brain, I hate that it lies to me.

(((((BB))))) I'm sorry! Can you call up a friend or relative to come over for lunch (companionship) so you can still be available for your on-call duties? If not, the couch will come investigate any shouts of Cool Whip, and I'm going to be home all day (aka stalking the forums) so pop on here whenever you get the urge. Hope you feel better soon!!

Does anyone here know anything about acoustic guitars? I play a little bit..I just chord. I don't know how to pick.

My acoustic guitar needs to be fixed. The bridge pins are too loose and won't keep the guitar in tune. Does anyone know if it will be expensive to get if fixed? I'm thinking whoever fixes it might just need to replace the bridge, maybe?

I miss playing my guitar.

Prec - I would think it would not be that expensive to fix. I don't play guitar but have had to have wind instruments fixed/repadded etc from time to time.

Changes are coming to the Healed family.. Getting ready to list our house for sale, looking for new houses, I am not going back to my job in the fall, and we are thinking of homeschool my son... Holy crap that is overwhelming just typing it out! Hoping I can make it through all of these changes without a complete break down!

I miss playing. I haven't played much in several years. It would give me a outlet for my feelings...an expression...and it's fun. I just play for my own enjoyment .cuz I get stage fright.

I was looking thru my playlist and I thought, "Hey, I know how to play that song." I looked at some other songs on my iPad and realized, "Hey, I used to know how to play all of these songs..." Lol.

I should make this happen..maybe get a few estimates from guitar shops?

My son is constantly working on his guitars. (he has 2 old ones he got from friends.) He said replacing the bridge/pins would fix it. Of course he is only 16 so he may not know what he is talking about.

Thank you for asking, Art. Your son knows more about this stuff than I do. Lol
I decided to read up on it...got the ol' guitar out and googled it. It's an Epiphone FT135 bought new in 1973 for $170.00 including a hard case. It has a blue label saying made in Japan (which I read in this case may not be a bad thing.) the label also says, "Kalamazoo, Michigan."

I hope it doesn't cost a bunch to repair it.
It sure looks purty sittin' there...

It is pretty! I used to play back in my girl scout days, didn't even have a guitar anymore until recently, when my son started playing so much (his are electric of course) I got interested again and bought an inexpensive acoustic. I can still play about 5 chords well, 3 or so others kinda iffy. I'm thinking about taking some lessons.... here's mine:

I hear you Red! The what does your T look like and Growly's silly depiction of the T relationship threads have my transference all stirred up too - only mine is little girl transference... I'm afraid to go near the body language thread now
