Did you see Fun Home won Tony for best musical? Alison Bechdel looked great. Just like her cartoons!

Hi, couch.

Well, I ate an entire pack of egg noodles for my 2nd supper. I remember eating them with butter, lemon juice, oregano, and basil when I was a kid. I had everything except butter, so I tried it without the butter. Not bad, just stuck together without the butter to coat them. So, I got lots of carbs today. I love carbs. I can't live without pasta, noodles, potatoes, corn. Heck, I love starches, I guess you could say. I'm still a little hungry, but I got to draw the line on eating somewhere. Even though the can of green beans on my night stand looks tasty. Humph...green beans it is, I gotta listen to my body. If it says it's hungry, it needs fed. Lol, and I wonder why I have been gaining weight lately. I was a twig last summer and now I am heafty. :-P Oh well, there is no happy medium for me.

Last summer 108 pounds. This summer 163 pounds. I blame my injection. Ever since going on it, I have been hungrier, thus eating more, thus gaining weight. Weight gain is also a possible side effect of it, so I am really screwed. According to Michelle Obama and her "healthy living" charts, I am obese. According to my ob/gyn I am only slightly overweight. According to my pdoc, I am fine (but I think he is just saying that to keep me on the injections). I think I trust my ob/gyn the most of the 3, since he deals with women's health all day long.

Well, I am starting to get tired even though I am hungry. Let me go eat my green beans and get to bed. Night, couch.

"Ring of Keys" is my new favorite song, goodness, I could relate to being that young girl admiring the butch dykes. It began a little too earnestly for me, but then transported me back to that pure place where a little earnestness is only par for the course.

Blech. I hate salt. Don't really like sugar either. Hmmm.

Oversalting and oversweetening are pretty bad things, both of them.... but unsalted food tends to be boring and bland to the point of being inedible, so I guess I would pick salt over sugar if I had to choose. I do have a huge sweet tooth, though.

My anxiety levels are still hitting the rooftops, or at least the ceiling. Hugs and/or general encouragement would be appreciated.

Mastodon, big big hugs to you

Hang on in there, this too shall pass....

Stopdog, I have made the ginger beer scones, fab, the beer makes them really light. There is also a great recipe on the guardian site for nettle beer which is good, though mine had quite a lot of beetles in....

Morning, couch.

Well, I am up and did not sleep in too late. I need to try to clean a little before CVS today. I have until 3:00 before I have to change clothes and get rebets on ady to leave. That's 5 hours. Anyone want to take bets on how much (or little) I will accomplish?

Still no response from pdoc, so I am not sure if it is safe to just restart my meds (since I have been off so long). I am thinking about saying "screw it" and just restarting them. It wasn't safe to stop taking them, so why should I worry about the safety of restarting them. I'm sure I will be fine.

I'm not a usual couch-sitter in here (though a Psychotherapy thread regular). So hi! But just had to post somewhere that I'm a little nervous about going to see my marriage counselor today considering that we had a phone conversation Friday in which I confessed that I love him. He already knows about some paternal and erotic transference that came out a few months ago, and we've discussed it some individually (and in joint sessions), and he's been great. He was great about the call on Friday too (was mainly because I felt this need for reassurance from him, but then ended up fessing up.) Still just freaking out a bit...today's a joint session.

Well, I laid down in bed after logging off earlier and fell asleep. Oppss. I woke up about 10 minutes ago. No cleaning done yet. Anyone who betted that I will get none done is on the road to a win. ;-)

I do still have a little time though, so I may get some done. Of course I need to shower and eat lunch still too, and those come first, so maybe I won't.

Only time will tell. I am such a slacker.

Saw this quote and really liked it: "History does not always repeat itself. Sometimes it just yells, 'Can't you remember anything I told you?' and lets fly with a club." ~~

I have been clubbed my fair share of times.

Too many white carbs!! You better start eating some quinoa, girl! And some mufas! Seriously, i think i like my flat belly mufa diet. You just make sure to eat avocado, nuts or seeds, olives, or dark chocolate with every meal, more or less. Its been about a week and i am feeling better. Its helping me structure my meals and my treats, and to not go overboard with the desserts, which now i just have like walnuts and chocolate chips. I leave the cookie part for stopdog - she likes the cookie, i prefer the add-ins!
Thanks for this!

11 year old is climbing around the McDonald's tube maze by himself - first time ever, he was always too scared before
In other news, he may need another spine surgery because he's starting to have some issues with incontinence
Never a dull moment...
