I should't have said "the exact same sock", of course, rather "an identical sock" - hopefully that was obvious anyway

It's actually done a lot here in the states In fact they sell sets called mix-match socks. Where you're supposed to wear non-matching matching socks

You crazy cats! We've only just got our heads round novelty ties in UK, and even they're considered a bit 'out there'

And yes Mast, I thought you meant the SAME sock. Like, whaaaaaaat?.....

I would like to wear the same sock as my T. I would like a MASSIVE fair isle sock which we can both fit in, and have a cup of tea in, and be warm and cosy but not too snuggly. We all need our personal space, even in a massive sharing-sock.
Thanks for this!

Mast I wondered if T noticed or you mentioned that you and he were wearing identical socks? I knew what you meant, and I say the same thing often. A woman at work and I have the exact same dress! (Well, I have mine and she has hers but they are identical, but that takes longer to spit out.)

How are you feeling now? Prepared for the hols?

We may be getting a new addition to our family today. We are doing a meet and greet with a yorkie rescue this afternoon. Poor baby had been abandoned out in East Texas and was only 3 pounds when he was first found. He's been nursed back to health and is in need of a family now. We'll have to see if our Scottie is willing to have a brother or not, but it looks like otherwise this will work out. So excited. He is such a cutie.
Thanks for this!

Just finished a fascinating book by Malcolm Gladwell: David and Goliath. It is nonfiction (if you aren't familiar with Gladwell) about people who faced and overcame odds and obstacles in life that might have been insurmountable to others. Pretty interesting reading. I had read his book Blink a few years ago and also found that one interesting.

No, I didn't mention anything, and I doubt if he noticed. Or perhaps he did - he always notices more than I think.

I'm feeling ok right now, thanks. I try not to think about the whole summer stretching out before me, but just focus on getting to sleep in a bit tomorrow, going to a themed party on Saturday, having dínner with some friends on Tuesday.

Chapter 26, wherein our beleagured, sleep-deprived heroine manages to lose her bank card and get her back up credit card cancelled all in the same day, with a dentist appointment and flight looming. Will she regain her sense of self-confidence (and financial solvency) in time for the bus to deliver her offspring at 4:02?

I finally have something happy to say..... It has been SOOOOOO long for something 'good' to happen but it looks like I just got chance to buy a home that I think I will really enjoy..

Hmmmm, It is strange to be 'happy' about the house and know I am but still have the depressive cloud that overshadows. I sure hope this therapy thing can really change my life. I want to just be happy and actually feel it!!!!!

I am starting to feel like I am only in therapy because my pdoc and wife want me to be. I think me and my T are growing apart.

I was trying to get through the next couple of days unmedicated as i am bit short this fortnight because i paid my arrears with T and didnt realise i had run out of rebates for the year. I had to get an emergency supply of meds from the chemist. I am feeling better already, i am slowly realising that meds may be helping me.

Why buy special sets when all you have to do is look in most laundry baskets

I think I'm becoming more and more of a nutcase.... I'm happier than I've ever been and still have no real desire to live... Not really suicidal. Maybe I'll mention it in partial at group therapy. Or not. I don't know. Is there some kinda phenomena that's called?

Leah I hope you got the credit card thing worked out! BPA glad you got the emerg supply of meds and that you're feeling better. Crook good luck with the house maybe it's the bright cloud you need to dispel some of the dark.

I hosted our team meeting at work today. My boss asked me to at 10am, gave me an agenda and an hour to put together a powerpoint and then we had the meeting! I actually had fun with it, and consider it a success. I am grateful that I have a supervisor who has taken time to get to know me well enough that he knows how to challenge me in ways that I accept and rise to and grow from.

I feel like saying to a customer manager:

"It's a big project and the speed of development depends very much on the customer's willingness to pay."
