I want to clarify.

What I thought from what pinksoil said was that what may sometimes be negative emotions are transferred to strangers.

And I just don't ... from a more holistic perspective ... like that.

Yap you pay your T and you may transfer to them.

But what I have been taught (check out some spiritual stuff and celestine stuff etc) is that energy is the source of a lot of all conflict ... so if you put negative energy in then negative %#@&#! is going to come out. And I find it hard to understand how negative energy towards a completely innocent stranger (e.g. hair) can be owned or controlled.

I didn't actually mean to p iss ppl off (although I suspected it might) but I guess I like a bit of discussion and conflict. Sorry, I don't mean it to be 'flaming', I just wanted to see what people said.

I accept that you have what you perceive as 'healthy' transference. I suppose what I mean is that the energy doesn't seem very owned to me if it's a total stranger who is a recipient.

Sigh. I guess psychotherapy is it's own little monster and should be left to incubate by itself. Is cool with me, I was just interested.

I know you were responding to Sunny.

But in a sense, I think you were speaking to all of us.

You're right. There's nothing Zen in wanting to %#@&#! your therapist.

But I don't go to therapy for Zen. I go for honesty.

I think this thread exemplifies that. I feel that DSF has put a lot of negative energy into this thread, and in return she has received negative energy. (Kind of like the saying "garbage in, garbage out.") I think her posts in this thread do not exemplify her stated philosophy of owning her energy and not casting the negative about onto strangers. Just my observation.

I think what people are trying to point out is that this (the idea that feelings toward someone [negative emotions toward strangers for example] produce a type of energy in the world) is a religious/spiritual/philosophical viewpoint (many people don't subscribe to that belief at all). It'd be great in its own thread! In this one, that particular conflict is off-topic. Start a thread on this!!! I think you'd get a lot of responses!
