+1 on the cleaning as a romantic gesture. I think I'm too jaded to "get" romance. Every nice gesture towards me is always suspect. Lessons learned from years of naïveté, I suppose.

Evening, couch.

Well pharm manager was in tonight. I had to take my break, as he said I was scheduled for one. Oh well. I got to take it when everything was crazy, so I did not mind. My coworker also voiced to him that she would rather not work Jan 1st. He told her that if that was the case she needed fo find someone to cover her shift otherwise, she would have to work it. SHe said right away, what about Squirrel (little did the pharm manager know she and I already planned this little take-over). The pharm manager looks at me and asks if that is okay. I agree, so I am now working 4.5 hours on New Year's Day for time and a half. I will take the extra hours. Gives me something to do, so I am not bored.

I have C in the morning while his mom goes to the dr. Then to come home and relax before leaving for CVS. I will probably have to take my break again, since the pharm manager will be on duty tomorrow. But with picking up time and a half on Jan 1, I don't mind. I just hope it is not crazy tomorrow night. It is just the pharm manager, myself, and one other tech. We had 4 techs tonight, and only 2 tomorrow. Hopefully is will be quiet. Only 3 techs on on Jan 1. One all day, one in the morning, and me in the afternoon, so only 2 at one time. I hope it is quiet that day too. The computer scheduling program thinks so, but it is wrong quite often when it schedules people.

Well, I better get to bed. It is almost midnight and I have to be on the road by 7:30am to get to C's by 8am. I'll check in tomorrow. Night couch.

I asked everyday for the first month when am I going to be trained to take order...never did get a real answer. Might quit since I have the tax job...just be easier to have one job anyway...soon as I find out when I start. Ugh! People suck!!

Was he a better father when you were with him? Is he taking it out on the children to get to you?

New years Eve here. I need to get ready for bed soon before the first lot of fireworks start.as I really really really don't tolerate loud noises. I will be sitting in bed with my earphones in and playing on my ipad.

HAPPY NEW YEAR to all and I hope the coming year is a little less harsh for the people of PC Couch 105-The couch with no issues.
Thanks for this!

It's my favorite book too!! I am tingling all over in anticipation of starting to read it again. Was going to start last night but didn't so today at lunch I will start it again for the umpteenth time. I'm looking at it from a different perspective this time too, with the aim of writing a paper about the psychology of it, which is also exciting for me. In a strange turn of character for my mother, many years ago, she remembered it was my favorite book when she came across a copy of it in an antique store and bought it for me, the copy was printed the same year the Laurence Olivier/Merle Oberon movie came out (1939). So it's really neat to be reading an old copy of it as well. Granted, not as neat as it would be to have an original from when it was actually written what in 1846 I think? But.... still neat.

Hmm. I'll look into that. Might be, I can't remember at all....

yes yes it was Radclyffe Hall - I was just wrong on the timeframe. Thank you. I'm going to try to find it at the library.

Hi couch. I am sitting at C's. His mom said he went to bed late and to let him sleep till 9:00. So I have 30 minutes to kill. Why not jump on PC from my phone.

His mom won't be home until about noon so she left money to go to ChickFilA. C associates me with that place so we usually go when I am babysitting him. 4 hours today. That will be $48 just for sitting with a cool kid and getting free lunch. His mom leaves enough money for me to get lunch too and tells me I can. Not a bad gig.

So, I have to get a tb test for my new job.. Called my gp office and since they know I live 40 mins away they suggested I go to a local urgent care to get it done.. Thought it was a good idea until I got here and now surrounded by a bunch of sick coughing kids spreading their germs all over.. I can't get sick, I can't get sick!!

Cats are great. As much as I love my own dogs, cats are my favorite.

The boy is asking over and over for waffle fries. ChickFilA doesn't start serving lunch until 10:30 so I have to keep telling him in a little bit or later. He really likes his waffle fries.

I ordered a computer that meets the requirements for the masters program I am going to start. Except it doesn't have a web cam. But I figure I can pick up a external webcam to use. I need to get s microphone too anyways. It is refurbished so it was only $160. It was shipped yesterday and should arrive by the 5th. I will be ready to start now. I am going to be a busy person come mid-February. I will really have no life. Lol.

I talked to h a little lastnight about going back to school. He said if you want to, do it! But you should only take one class to see if you can stick with it. He's probably right about that. I'm thinking i may just DO it.

Chilling on the couch with C waiting for his mom to get home. He is now asking for mom instead of ChickFilA. Nice to know I am only good for a ride to get waffle fries. Lol. We have 30 minutes. Maybe I can get him agree to a bike ride to burn off the fast food calories. Worth a try.

Nope just denied wanting to go on a bike ride. Asking for green silly putty now. He eats it though sometimes so I don't want to pull it out today.

Maybe we can read a book. I hate to just sit vegging out in front of the TV. But it is break. Time to relax. I need to clean out my car still. Bad Squirrel.

I hope to get that done or at least started after I get home before I have to head to CVS.
