I am impressed with Yale's comeback!! Wish they would have won.

Baseball's pretty easy. Nine guys against one...but the one has a big stick.

Or do you mean basketball? Also pretty easy - 5 giants on each team run back and forth on a court, attempting to toss a big orange ball through a hoop and elbow each other in the face without getting caught. Snore city, if you ask me.

I've played some basketball during Physical Education class at school. As well as softball. What's the difference between softball and baseball anyway?

The ball is bigger, the distance from mound to home plate is shorter, the base paths are shorter, the outfield is smaller, and the pitch is delivered underhand.

Also, at least in US women's softball, the uniforms are nowhere near as flattering as baseball uniforms are.

Softball is a larger/softer ball, a smaller field, some of the rules are different, and is generally considered a women's sport while baseball is considered a men's sport. The pitching is different, etc. Our girl's softball team at the high school where I teach is one of the top ranked in our state. Until I went to a few state tournaments, I wasn't all too familiar with the differences myself, but it is definitely a different game.

Back at the condo now chatting. Fun day! Probably be heading home soon so h can watch the basketball game and i can do laundry.

Awww! My brother-in-law just bought tickets for he and my husband and my sons to attend one of my Carmina Burana performances. Not a cheap outing. He's such a sweet man. It will be so nice to have him up here that weekend (even though I won't be around much since it is a concert weekend).

Couch should I go to the doctor??? About a month ago I was having a lot of back pain, apparently it was back spasms causing the pain.. The day that pain started I was in a minor car accident, I ran into the side of a truck. I was fine the day of, but two days later my back hurt so bad I couldn't move. Went to an urgent care, they did not do X-rays, just said back spasms with probably inflammation in the back from the accident. The pain lasted for the next 5 days, then went away for 2 weeks and came back for about 4 days. And then today, I reached up to get something and my back just seized up, it hurt to move.. And I am still in pain tonight. Soooo.. Anyways anybody know if doctors will even do anything if it is just back spasms again? I know you can't give medical diagnosis.. Just wondering what you all would do?

I would go to the doctor. Or maybe find a good chiropractor.
Thanks for this!

PR - wow - I hope you recover quickly

Healed - I would go to the quick trip mds in a box - they can give you muscle relaxants if you are having spasms

Oh no! Are they calling it a TIA? That's what happened to my mother last summer. Did you get there fast enough for them to start TPA? That's how they treated my mother and she did very well -- no long-term or permanent damage. She was out of the hospital in 3 days. Keep us posted and I hope you do okay. Let us know.

Just arrived home from a wonderful evening listening to our high school choir and The Vocal Majority in concert. They did a very patriotic program that was quite inspirational and uplifting. It was a packed auditorium. My sons enjoyed it, too. Saw lots of my students all dressed up in their concert best -- always fun.
Thanks for this!

It is fun to see students dress up. I sometimes don't recognize mine when they shave and wear suits.

Couch!! Please pray for me to be strong!!

It will be ok and be what it needs to be.

I feel very little trying to be big and stand up.

I'm ok. It's just not a good place right now.

I feel like I did something wrong posting that.

Forgive me if I did. There was just no one to tell it to

I don't think there was anything "wrong" with that. Things are slow on the Couch weekend nights is all.

Hope things are going better.
