They are famous screamers. Indeed, screaming is their main function.

Actually I think ours is quite simple compared to the rest of the world. I mean, first class degrees? Second class degrees? Hon Mods? Tutorials? Grammar schools vs comprehensives? Public schools that cost a fortune?

Our system is quite simple. You get promoted regularly from grade to grade, and there is a virtually unlimited number of colleges for anyone who wishes to attend one.

Sigh. What I really need is to sit down and read a good book. With kings and queens. Or shapeshifters. Something of that sort. With a nice, warm blanket. And a hot cup of tea with a fireplace going, and snow falling outside... (slowly slips onto a daydream) If only. It's like 100 degrees out! And I haven't really read in close to a year. Oh, how I miss it.

Kings, queens, shapeshifters - have you read the Narnia books? Harry Potter? Lloyd Alexander's Prydain books? David Eddings' Belgariad? Suzanne Collins' Underland chronicles? Rick Riordan? Michael Scott's Nicholas Flamel series? Susan Cooper's Dark Is Rising series?

All pretty easy reading, and lots of fun.
Thanks for this!

Love to read!!

Was thinking of a movie that you may enjoy. It's pretty old but it's one of my favorites when I get in one of those moods. It's "Legend". Again. It's pretty old but it's a really good escape for me. Not sure if Netflix has it.

To me, it's the ultimate battle of good verses bad.

Check it out.

Harry Potter is so awesome! I have seen all the movies, but they can't compare to the books! I have read to book 4, and my mom accidentally pulled my bookmark out! The horror! I never did find my way back to that exact spot. I have also read 1 book from Rick Riordan.

I will be sure to look it up! How old is it? I'm thinking of a movie, but I think I am thinking of a different one. We'll see.

I really enjoyed The Hunger Games. Any of you read that? The Nick Chronicles series by Sherrilynn Kenyon? The Hush, Hush book series by Becca Fitzpatrick is pretty good too. Not my favorite, but good. And I love Historical romance novels! Fiction, of course. Fiction is my go to!

Driving in itself is not safe, so my psyche is all backwards here, but that's my story.

Tiny little rubber hose fitting, tiny hole less than the diameter of a pencil eraser, giant pain in the neck, made my engine feel like it was going to fall out of the car. Grrr, I really should have gone to school to be a mechanic.

Regarding AP classes, they completely stressed my oldest daughter to the point she dropped out of school early. The pluses: getting college credit at the high school level costs 90% less (public high school fees vs. college course fees); also she really enjoyed the challenge (until she didn't anymore) and was proud of herself for her achievements.
Thank you! I don't drive, so I always have to be the passenger (H doesn't have a licence either. We sometimes think it would be handy of one if us did somwe could occasionally rent a car, but I don't think it is likely to happen.)
