Yes, indeed it does. :/

Insomnia sucks.

Well, for what it's worth you deserve to feel better. I hope your day goes/went (can never remember your time). Following up on posts... you're human

It is very hard to explain properly. Sorry. I also owe mkac an apology for not acknowledging it when she asked me about what happened last week. I really appreciated that, it made me feel visible. I just can't follow up on my posts. What's wrong with me?

Thank you. I'm a bit ahead of you, time wise - it's well past my bedtime now. It was a pretty difficult day but I got through it. (Also, when the others checked in at the hotel I noticed that they'd all got single rooms - I still couldn't stay because I am not going to cancel my T session, but it was a little frustrating that I didn't know that.)

That would be frustrating. I hope your T session will go well tomorrow. I'm off to mine now. I have the flu and feel icky but don't want to tell her that because I want to see her... Selfish and awful, I know.

T canceled my "emergency" appointment this afternoon because he has the stomach bug.. For some reason I think I he is lying. I have no reason to think that he is lying, I just do.

I tend to always feel that way when my T is out for something. Like she's there for everyone else but doesn't want to see me. (((healed)))

Well as my T likes to say, the things that are the hardest to say are also the ones that need to be talked about. And if you are feeling unhappy about something then i think it is worth your T knowing!

My mom's being a ***** and I hate her. I can't wait until I move out in the fall. **** her

Edited to add: I'm feeling a bit better now, and I'd just like to say that my mom is actually pretty great. I was just super pissed at her in the moment and needed to rant.

I'm sorry you're having a rough time. My daughter and I laugh a lot, but we fight more than that. I think it's part of (what is the word I'm thinking of??!!) the impetus we need to help us leave the nest. Doesn't mean it's easy though.

Hey couchies, do you prefer contacts or glasses?

I've worn glasses since I was 4. Now I'm in progressives and my vision is worsening every day. I think middle aged presbyopia is setting in.

I'm of a mind to be able to lay down and still see the TV, and to see the hairs on my legs while I'm actually in a place to remove them. Remember my intruder the other night? *snort* I would even wear readers with contacts if that were to become a necessity.

Thanks for any input, my appointment is Thursday.

hey couch! well my son just got home a little bit ago from his first day as a workin' man!! He said it was a good day, he was shown what to do for a very short time and then he operated a CNC machine and made parts on his own for the rest of the day. His shift is going to be 6-4:30, Monday-Thursday for the summer. He didn't like the other option which was 4 9 hour days and one 4 hour day. I don't blame him there!

Anyway I'm so proud of my boy. Already professionally operating a CNC machine and making parts on his own! Thanks in large part to his awesome machine shop teacher in high school, who made sure the students earned like 3 professional certifications before they graduated. He said he made around 80 parts today. Doesn't know what they're for, but still cool.

My eyes are always watering due to allergies or whatever so I've never even tried contacts. It's glasses for me!! In fact I'm waiting for Costco to let me know my new glasses are done, I can't wait to get them, as the old ones are so not effective anymore.....
Thanks for this!

I wore glasses when I 2 or someting then at 15 I got contacts til I got an infection where I nearly lost the sight in one eye at 45( i think my Ds friend was playing with them ut no one would own up). Now I wear readers with contacts but mainly wear glasses ithink out of fear. I can't get used to the biocals as the muscles in my eyes aren't that great and have to use my neck to increase my visual range.
Thanks for this!

Don't be modest. Admit it, it was totally intentional!

Glasses. My eyes look better in contacts, but not the shadows/dark circles under them.

I wear glasses. I can't switch to contacts: I use them to cover the dark circles under my eyes!

At my most recent eye appointment, they mentioned that "at my age" my vision would worsen even more. I don't feel old!

I never thought of how I'd look without them. They are one of my shields against the rest of the world. And the reason I don't have crows feet, although I do have wrinkles outside of my glasses. Now if I could just be bothered to put the damn things on when I go walkabout this would be a no-brainer. The bladder's demands are imperative and fumbling for glasses in the dark is not my top priority. . .

My h has been whistling the "Put Your Little Foot" song from the movie "Wee Sing Train" for the past half hour. My son was obsessed with it when he was like 3, we went through 3 copies of it on VHS tape. I found videos on youtube, and find that I still know every single song by heart 14+ years later.
Thanks for this!

I switch between the two but always contacts while I sleep. I use makeup (go figure) for my dark circles when not wearing my glasses. Who am I kidding I cover them all the time.

I suppose I really should wear a little makeup at least, at work if I hope to move beyond answering phones with this company. The only makeup I can wear without breaking out is Bare Minerals, but mine is quite a few years old, so I'm sure it needs to be replaced. It's so easy to use and looks so natural on me, unlike anything else I've ever tried. Maybe this weekend I'll venture out to that one store that carries it, I forget what it's called, I should look that up.

Each of my siblings and myself had a different favorite book that our mother read to us when we were little. My mother, 30-35 years on, can still recite each of them from memory. It's become her party trick.

Sephora maybe? There are other mineral makeup brands you could try, too, if you wanted. And yeah, if it's been a few years, you should definitely replace it!
