Couch 117: Come On In and Set-tee A While

Only one lesson left to write for the unit, then I will be done. I need to shower at some point today. Maybe I will after this post, so I am clean when I go to deliver the food and cook it.

I just have to think of a summative assessment for my unit. I really can't just give a test as students have had options and choices as to which battles they wanted to explore and look at in detail and tests are not a fair measure for students who are not good test takers. I will think of something. I know I will.

I have had tons of formative and performance-based assessment in my lessons, I just required to include at least one summative assessment as well. Grrr... I hate summative assessments, but understand they are necessary.

Well, I should go shower and get ready to cook.

Well, meal cooked and delivered and I am fed. Housemates have also eaten. They gave me their approval on my meatloaf. mac and cheese, and corn. I have to say it turned out pretty good. I am turning into one little chef. Lol.

Still waiting to hear back on how my brother's court went. He had to see the judge today. I hope that maybe the charges were dropped. That would be good.

Well another less than stellar workday has passed. We had a team meeting, we are moving desks (again) at the end of the week. I'm okay with it, because my current neighbor's voice is so loud, my callers answer her questions! However, the only real reason I can see for the move is to break up cliques and separate friends. I'll be rather isolated in my new spot which is great for me, but I feel bad for the person who gets my desk because she'll be dumb enough to answer incoming calls from my stalker. More rumors about me will be flying, more meetings with the big boss and the police. Can't say I'm looking forward to it.

My sister just sent me a pic of me when I was about 14 with my beloved dog on my knee and my arms wrapped around him. In my face I see sadness. It brought back to me how much my dog meant to me. He was all I had and I loved him.

T is going on another break (vacation, I assume) after already having one earlier this summer and missing a session due to an emergency. I feel like a petulant toddler but I'm annoyed and hurt. It screws with my momentum, even if I know intellectually it's no big deal for him to miss now and then (he's generally very reliable about making our sessions).

Last night i forgot my meds and only got about 2 hours sleep and now feel tired and wired at the same time, very uncomfortable.

hey couch! well apparently people in tucson don't so much care for gnocchi lol, i brought home more than half! But that made my son verrrry happy. He loves it, and devoured a big plate when he got home from work!

On another note, I had a caller accuse me of blackmail and being mafia because his prior auth got denied...

Ugh, that's the worst. Being both exhausted and unable to rest. Hope the meds tonight help.

About three days ago, to help myself get to sleep I decided to over-exercise. It doesn't actually help with sleep, but on the plus side I feel like a wide-awake zombie, if that makes any sense.

I was tempted.... followed by "You realize I know your address, you might want to be careful who you're calling names...."

Evening couch. Well, my unit for week 5 is done. Yay! I just have to double check with the teacher that what I called a summative assessment is really a summative assessment.

I would finish the powerpoint, but I am still waiting for the one person's information. I hope it comes soon, so we can finish it early and not have to worry about it anymore. I currently have a 100% and I would like to keep it that way. Though I can drop as low as a 95% and still have my A. Below that starts A- and lower grades.
