Well today was day 3 after my rather transforming weekend - it is really interesting how different I feel handling calls from pissed off people who are yelling at me. It rolls right on past me now, I don't take on any of it... which is very new to me! I guess what changed, is that I totally don't have that 'old' internal attitude of "Well, I grew up being yelled at so I must deserve it" anymore. At all. It's amazing. It's absolutely amazing to me how writing one little story can cause 4+ years of work in therapy to suddenly come to fruition.

Well I need to fold a load of towels and then go to bed. Night couch!!

Wow, I never saw it that way before. I've been thinking it's my attitude that's the problem, that I'm wallowing...things like that.

I think I'll stop asking them for validation.

I think you're awesome for feeding birds.

Hi, couch.

I am still up. I am wired and can't sleep. My emotions have been on a rollercoaster lately. Hopefully it will slow down soon.

My landlord's grandson is spending the night. He just got back from South Carolina where his grandfather (my landlord's ex) lives. He was visiting him for a month. His grandfather found a truck for $590 and bought it for the grandson so he would have a vehicle now that he is 16. They put it on a flatbed to get it to Florida. He drove it over here to show his grandma. When he went to leave, the ignition fell out when he tried to start the truck. Guess that's why it was only $590. Lol. Now he has to buy a new ignition and have a locksmith get the key situated. Teens.

Addy! Addison Montgomery. She's my favorite. I keep waiting for her to come back to Grey's. Loved private practice. Never watched judging Amy. I liked ally Mcbeal 😂

Morning, couch.

It is not even 7am yet and I am awake. Woke up about 6. I didn't go to bed until 1. Oh well...I guess I will be running on 5 hours of sleep today.

All the talk about medical shows reminds me of Scrubs. I watched that religiously when it was on. Lol. I even bought the complete series on DVD at one point in time. Though I sold it a few years ago along with my entire DVD collection because I just wasn't watching the DVDs anymore. I have over 200. Lol. Selling them also freed up a lot of storage space.
Thanks for this!

Woke up in slightly less pain than I've had for the last week! I'm taking this as a sign that PT is finally helping.

Is Taye Diggs the guy who went full frontal in Waiting to Exhale?

I like Grey's - much less ridiculous than ER, though I liked the first seasons of ER as well. It was annoying how bad the research was in ER concerning the world outside the US - I'm sure the medical stuff was well researched and that's what I was watching it for, but as soon as anybody or anything outside their immediate frame of cultural reference was introduced it was a lot like some middle schooler's vision of the Kingdom of Ruritania... Sadly it's mostly relationship stuff in Grey's these days, which I tend to fast-forward through. And sex, ditto. I've never watched Private Practice, but I'm afraid I found the final episode before Addison moved away and joined the crew in wherever it was (California?) kind of boring, so I haven't been particularly tempted to look for it. Just not my kind of series, I guess.

You should perhaps check Netflixable - looks like they list the programmes showing on Netflix in a number of countries. I have no idea whether the "get American Netflix" link they provide is reliable or legal so I don't recommend trying that, but in any case you can get some idea of what is available down there. I've never been there myself - one of the countries still on my list to visit someday - but I'm going to Spain in November. I've been told it will be rainy, but it won't be as dark as it is here, and probably much warmer...

Morning couch!

I like medical shows too but I like the more realistic ones such as Emergency, Untold Stories of the ER, Mystery Diagnosis, and Diagnose Me. I don't like all the romance in the fantasy medical shows.

It's kind of weird, no one sitting in her wing chair and reading the Times, isn't it?

Hey...now would be a good time for me to sneakily sit in her chair!

(I hope everything is sort of okayish too.)
