Exactly. I've done some in desperation (before I went into IT, I trained and worked in graphic design) and honestly one gets poor quality work and a lot of similar and generic ideas. The better paying offers would be around $200 and lots would compete for those.
Thanks for this!

I think my T paid around £250 (from memory) I honestly know nothing about this industry and have no strong feelings either way. I'm neither business minded nor financially minded.

I do understand why people use such design contest sites...good design is bloody expensive!

Not blaming your T, more bummed that those contest sites profit from free work.
Thanks for this!

Does the camera on your cell phone matter to you?
I mean - is that a feature you specifically focus on? I don't (I forget I have a camera on the cell phone -and have never taken many photos in general) and I am curious as to whether it is a real thing or a marketing thing to make people want it.

I like having a nice camera on my phone. I tend to go with phones where I can change the settings to my liking instead of the 'auto' default. I am a photographer and like the control of correcting the settings, when I don't want to lug around my professional camera.

I don't have a camera but I take endless photos of my kids so I need the phone camera. It's definitely one of the features I would prioritise when choosing a phone.

I like having a camera on my cell phone, partly for practical reasons (like I see a dress I like, but they don't have it in my size, and I take a picture so I can look for it on the store's website) and partly because I dabble in photography when I have time and use the cell camera to take preliminary shots in different lights of something I might want to really photograph.

I take pictures with my phone all the time but the camera quality is not that critical to me.

That said, I did notice when a friend's pictures of the same events were much nicer than mine--so I was happy when my phone started to die and I needed an upgrade.

I don't use the phone camera that much, unless one of the cats is doing something cute and/or stupid. If I want a good shot, I'd grab my pro camera.
Thanks for this!

I love to use Instagram so I like a decent phone camera.

I don't do professional photography and I rarely need to use a compact camera anyway so a decent phone camera suits my wants.
Thanks for this!

I have the day off work because of a doctor appointment and I intended to use it to get ahead on all this work stuff. Instead I've watched a ton of TV and surfed the net extensively!

I'm beyond exhausted today. Catching up on some TV shows here at work and wishing T would text me back. I have a couple of small tasks I can do at work but I don't want to to do them. I'd rather watch TV and browse the internet instead.

Also I wish we called it "marking" like the British do.
Genius idea!

Hi everyone. I'm back for a minute. After 8 years with my therapist- we ended. She took me as far as she could. I don't want to talk about it. I just wanted to write it somewhere. I'm sorry I came in and jumped on the couch just to say this. It didn't just happen. It's been 3 weeks. I took the advice that was given here when I wrote about last time. So I went in to talk with my T and it turned out she was actually thinking it was time as well. I am thinking about it a lot today so I kind of just wanted to tell someone because I haven't spoke about it to anyone online or anyone who knows me off the forum in my life. Anyway, this is the first day it really started to sink in that I no longer have that "safety net" under me and now it's time for me to navigate this thing called life without being under someone's wing. I am sure it will be hard but I am a 36 year old woman and it's time to pull up the big girl panties and move on. Be back soon. Again, sorry I just barged in to say it but I had to tell someone-anyone willing to listen. I have to go to work for a bit-see you soon couch. Thanks.

I just found out everyone in my family knew about my uncles funeral and I wasn't invited.. .. it really makes me feel all that more rejected by my family.

I think so. She didn't throw me out. It seemed like it was mutual. I was feeling unsatisfied with the sessions for quite awhile and I've told her in previous sessions. But she is a psychodynamic therapist so she believes that everything effecting the present has to do with the past. I started to form my own opinion about that theory and she also was not someone who thought outside the box. It's okay. I'm okay. She's a good therapist. We just reached the end of our work together. She couldn't help anymore.

I think I'm going to sit back for awhile and try to redeem my bank account from all the co-pays I put out on therapy. I have not so great insurance and my co pay to see her was high. I often had to cancel appointments because of the co-pay.
