Yeah art!! I'm enjoying the crocheting. Lots I should have done this weekend but I'm tired. Found out family is not coming to see me for thanksgiving. They chose friends over me so I have to make plans. I hate being a holiday orphan.

I understand the 'holiday orphan' thing. When I first moved away from my family to california, even though I wanted to move away - I still would get lonely for them on holidays. In the 18+ years I've lived in both california and arizona, my brother has visited twice (although he has the best excuse, since he lives out of the country much of the time!), one of my sisters has visited once, and my other sister has never visited. I miss my siblings, but I suppose I've gotten used to rarely seeing them over time....

Yeah that's my situation too. Friends all over but I'm pretty isolated here.

Couch--I'm leaving for Paris in 3 hours. I'd love to hear any travel tips--things we must see or things that are not so good. We'll be there five days and take one day trip for travel to Versailles. Please share your tips and tricks for Paris. We're complete newbies.
Thanks for this!

Alexa is up and running. Now I have to be careful not to talk about Alexander the Great.

May I say, Alexa's jokes are terrible.

At least you don't have to pretend to laugh at them.

We just walked around a lot and ate. I liked touring Notre Dame - but I like cathedrals.

When I was in Paris there were clowns on the Champs Elysees who would come up behind women and rub against them, if you know what I mean.

The Louvre is great, but do you have small children with you?

Well I didn't make it an hour. Think I'm gonna go to bed early. But here it is where it's at right now! (I don't remember exactly when I started this - it's been several months ago and then I just stopped working on it for whatever reason. I dunno. But I'm gonna finish it this time!)

Neither of these things is luck. You had the foresight to save while others were spending. I would like to see you give yourself credit for that.

Part of T's job is to soak up the negativity without dismissing it or reflecting it back.
