Foul play by his poker buddies?

Wow. I've always considered it luck because...I don't know why. I just assumed it's luck.

I just know I had to save for the future and it's definitely true that savings have tided me through months of unemployment.

Come to think of it, I've always thought this job of mine was a lucky fluke. My mother thanks god for this job of mine...but truth is that I did well in the interviews, not god...

Little dance of joy! The money I spent on my car has been credited as an emergency government payment to my electricity account bringing into a positive balance of $68.00. Now with my regular payment plan I hopefully won't owe them anything near $1000 again. Next month I will have paid the orthodontist off and then i can work at paying back my T and with extra money each fortnight I may be able to go to T weekly. Hopefully I won't get speeding or parking fines in that time but my periods of mania seemed to have calmed down.

It has been so stressful, all swings and roundabouts and peter and pauls. I am so sick of creative accounting. It will be nice to at least be in front for awhile.

My situation is improving!! Haven't been to sleep yet but put several donation boxes together. My brave friend offered to take boxed items to Goodwill tomorrow! I don't have any mosquito netting to offer her when she arrives....I'll try to keep her outside. (Just kidding)

Best of all, I emailed my brother, said how sorry I am, I've worked as hard as I can, but was honest that I need exterminator...plus I told him about the damaged skirting (that management really should fix). Afraid for his response. But he emailed back,
"Bugs Bunny is the only good bugs I know..." Lol. He seems to have taken it very well!
He has treated me very nice, lately. He has yelled at me so forcefully, in the past, that I 'got sick.' Didn't expect that. (He later apologized.)

He also owns the house, so it all feels quite scary to me. He could say it's all too much trouble, snap his fingers, and make me move. I feel so insecure. Anywayyyyy, he doesn't seem too bothered by everything. I try not to give him worries- my sil just passed away last Thanksgiving. He has enough stress.

All seems to be improving...just a few more nights of sleeping in my recliner and I hope a reputable exterminator will take care of the problem so I can get some rest.

OK, I suck at office politics.

Boss A said to name names with the facts of an incident report investigating reasons why email went out for an entire company.

So I did. I named my Boss B and Boss C and their part in the chain of things leading to the outage. They aren't happy and I got a sharp email...😳😳😳😳

They're IT and they also don't believe me that you need to have registered blahdomain.com in order for external emails to be delivered to emails @blahdomain.com...

That domain being terminated caused the email outage...

Office politics is not my strong point either Quiet Mind, but it strikes me that you've done nothing wrong at all, you did exactly what you were asked to do and stated your professional opinion on the the reason for the outage. Let others pout their lips and stamp their feet if they want. They can do the office politics, you can do your job.
Thanks for this!

I took new old dog by to see my mother. My mother has been going on about how much she misses the dog. I took pup along and carefully tried to explain to NOD that this was only a visit and she was not staying there. It was not a very successful visit because NOD refused to go to my mother when she called her and my younger sister had to pick her up and put her on my mother's lap. My mother kept talking about how much younger and healthier the dog looked and was crying and looking really unhappy.

NOD spent most of the time panting with anxiety. When we started to leave, NOD was moping until she realized we were waiting for her and calling her to get in the car (she is pretty hard of hearing). Once she realized she was coming with us, she came waddling to us as fast as she could, wagging her tail more than I have ever seen her do it.

Not sure what my mother thought would happen. I told her I had switched the dog's food to something healthy and not the dime store crap she had been eating. The dog gets tons of exercise with pup and old dog and has gone camping with us multiple times over the summer. The dog IS healthier and acts way younger now that she is not in a kennel 22 hours out of 24. She gets treats and tons of attention. Not sure why mother seemed to think the dog would be pining away for her life with my mother.

Turnabout is fair play, eh?

Maybe Art will teach me how to crochet so I'll have something else to look at while I'm sitting there

Walks along the Seine and the Eiffel Tower were fun also. I have never traveled with children of any age but there were a lot of them (or at least to me the place seemed crawling with them) around the Tower. I thought it was really cool at night - the way it is lit up and you can take boat trips on the river.

Hi, couch. Got injured at the ballgame on Saturday night, that caused PTSD issues and other issues and blerg. Doing okay today - just tired. Bored at work, nothing for me to do, so I'll just sit here on the couch for the next 5 hours before leaving for T.

If anyone was curious about eft - here is a sample. The woman is somewhat unsettlingly earth motherish to me.

The boat tour on the Seine is pretty cool! Plus there is a tour company called "Paris Walks" that does interesting tours - maybe one of them would be interesting enough for the kids?

And you could try the hot chocolate at Angelina's- it's amazing.
