I slept for about three hours and fought for my breath a good deal of the time I was awake. I am somterrified I can't think straight.

I'm encouraged by some of the things atat and growly have said. Because I don't know that much about the American system, it's good to know he will be held accountable by the other elected bodies and that there are mid term elections so the electorate can at least have some say in a couple of years. I have my fingers crossed for you, America.

But there's republicans, then there's Trump. I think they will work to tone down the policies.

The more I think about a trump presidency the sicker I feel. I hope he is surrounded by people smarter and more reasonable than he is.

We spent years pleading that the Betlin wall needs to be torn down. I hope our wall was just rhetoric. I hope most of it was rhetoric.

Sorry couch. I'm going to be fretting for some time to come. Trump wants to reduce itemized deductions including medical ones. My therapy and other medical costs are deducted on my return making things marginally affordable.

I fell asleep watching the results. I woke up to see the headline that he won. And all I could think was "Oh God, oh God..." Not sure I can go back to sleep now...I fear for our future. This is not just an R vs D thing, just to clarify. If, say, Rubio had just been elected president, I would have been disappointed, but I wouldn't have this same sick sense of dread.
