This reminds me of Toonces the Driving Cat on SNL in the 1990s.

What's considered something small to eat when someone says they had something small for a meal? For example, my husband had a 12 inch hoagie of dinner (sub, hero, lunchmeant on a long roll. Whatever you call it in your area. Here it's called a hoagie) Anyways, when I came in tonight I asked him what he ate-he said "I just wanted something small so I had a 12 inch ham and cheese hoagie" I said that's not small. He said yes it is, it was a sandwich-a sandwich is a small dinner. Um..I know my perception about food is far from normal, but small to me is like an apple or something. Anybody else?

A 12" hoagie is not a small dinner. That's like a giant Subway sub.

I mean, I had a chicken breast and a cup of cooked spinach for dinner and I wouldn't call that small. Small in sandwich world has to fit in one of those sandwich baggies to me.

Here in Yurtland, people very rarely want an opinion from a third party. For example, employers aren't interested in references or referees.

The only T who wanted another opinion was Mr T, who had a session with my wife to talk about me.

Yes. Precisely. I agree. We go on this merry-go-round with food all the time. Like on weekends when we eat dinner together. Example: He will say hey Jers..what do you feel like eating tonight? I'm like, I don't know..let's just grab something quick easy and small on our way home. He will say okay sounds good, I'll call for pizza, I'm getting a large with extra cheese. What size and kind do you want? Um, just a slice H, a slice will do. I actually think he has it wrong. Big time. Meh.

i got an extension on my homework because of toby being sick. so last weeks assignments are due friday at 11: 55 pm.

i wasted all day yesterday with my friend, so i didnt do any homework. i hadnt seen him in a month and really needed to just hang out with someone.

anyway , today i have to work 10 to 4, tomorrow i work 3 to 11. so i have to cram it all after work today and before work tomorrow.

then this weeks assignments are due on the regular due date, monday at 11:55

this class is so overwhelming. lots of coursework, and its not easy either. its very time consuming because i really need to actually understand and learn this stuff. not just memorize and forget after the exam is done. also it is condensed into 8 weeks instead of a full 16 week semester

anyway so yea im a little stressed, but other than that im okay

hope everyone has a good day!!

I wonder how it would work if people suspected that. Could, say, Congress require he get a medical evaluation by a doctor other than that one that said "he has the most amazing health" or whatever that ridiculous letter said? Just curiosity about the process if a President seems in ill physical and/or mental health?

To me, that's huge, but meal size is in the eye of the beholder. I had a colleague I was on the road with and we were going to pull over for lunch. We talked about what we were hungry for and she said she just wanted half a sandwich and didn't need to overdo it, and that we should get a whole one and split it. To her, that sounded like a done deal. I was really hungry, though, and half a sandwich wasn't going to cut it, but she had already set it up so that half a sandwich was the reasonable lunch and she would be a pig to want more. I was so hungry, I finally got up the nerve to say, but what if I don't want only half?

She was shocked by this, and then was embarrassed, saying she was sorry she never thought what I wanted. I'm about a foot taller than she is, and a lot more active, it made sense that I would be hungrier, but the whole thing had turned into some sort of judgement about what's enough to eat based only on her needs. Neither of us was right, and at the same time, we both were.

Morning, couch.

I am up and about. I went to bed "early" (by that I mean earlier than usual, but at a normal time).

T went so-so. I told T about seeing pdoc on Monday and him wanting me to keep my original appointment for next week as a check in. She said it sounds like he is concerned about me and wants to make sure I am okay. I guess she is right.

After T, I went into the walk in clinic because I finally had time and still have no PCP (trying a new one out on the 28th). On Monday, when pdoc gave me my shot, he said it looked like I had a staph infection, so I wanted to get that checked out. I got the same PA that I got when pdoc suggested celulitis on my leg from scratching. She looked at it and said that it does look like it could be and the question would be whether she could get anything to drain out of it or not. She tried and said it was too firm. She did say it was infected though. This time, she ordered a antibiotic shot and put me on oral antibiotics. When the MA came in to give me the shot, he was apologized and said that unfortunately with this medication, it has to be given in the rear. I shrugged. Luckily I am used to getting shots there as that is where I get the shots from pdoc each month. So I am back on antibiotics...I wonder if I will ever stop scratching myself and getting infected sores.

I emailed pdoc last night to let him know I was feeling better and thank him for taking time to fit me into his schedule. I just got an email back saying to try to remember to keep taking my oral medications as well. See him again in 6 days...it will feel odd going in again so soon, but it will probably be good to "check-in" to make sure I am on the road to "stabilazation".

Well, I need to get shoes on an leave for school job, so I can stop and get some sodas on the way in to have throughout the day. I will probably hop on later in the day from my small little room. Have a good day couch.

Like saying hes nominating the guy OF the supreme ct, FOR the supreme ct. Maybe we're seeing it more because he's "live", no retakes, and hes on every day.

una...I hear people do this and similar stuff a lot. It's the decline of language in action.

It doesn't prove he has an awful debilitating disease that does incredible harm to sufferers and their families.

Good luck doing anything about it if he does have dementia. I couldn't even get the DMV to take away a parent's license, despite specific examples of what they had done on the road. Ultimately, a non-fatal car accident took care of the problem...but it's really an impossible condition to get anyone to take action on a small everyday level. As president, they would be untouchable. I don't think he has that, but I won't rule it out as a coming attraction in this national s**t show.

I dunno about the dude himself but I thought his doctor sounded equal to, or even worse than him if possible (on the random + whiny quotient).

Btw, I told this joke that I'd heard to current T yesterday who sadly did not seem to find it hilarious and so I'm floating it here -- "The fact that two of his wives are immigrants shows once again that we need immigrants to do jobs that Americans won't do"

Hilarious that the dr spilled the beans about djts propecia use, in retaliation for not getting a seat at the inauguration. I am definitely experiencing schaudenfreude on that.

I think the ivana melania joke is hilarious - what bug is up your ts kiester??!

Una -- great minds think alike! When I read the NYT headline about the hair-growth thing from the doc, I was like oh man, this takes pettiness to a whole other level!

I think current T is a little wary of my sense of humor (often calls it a defense) and is just awfully, idiotically PC about all identity stuff (so, I suspect that given my brown posterior, she was wondering how the heck to respond to a joke about immigrants, never mind that I've repeatedly told her it's okay to chill the eff out).

Idk, after Monday's session with DBC I am just really on edge about anyone diagnosing anyone else with anything. We're not on a power trip like she was, but still.

Sorry for my morning mood, didn't sleep and am not in awesome psychological shape.

I think he messed up reading his cue cards or the teleprompter or whatever. Like what was the big deal about announcing at 8pm? "They said" oh hes making it like a game show. Maybe they are trying to hide that hes "sundowning" a symptom of alzheimers, people are okay during the day, but get goofy in the evening. I know, how do we tell the difference anyway remember you read it here first!
