Welcome to the couch, old and new! A place to hang out - sometimes you get immediate feedback, sometimes you don't.

---------

Shouting, "Cool Whip" tends to bring others out from between the cushions if you're feeling lonely.

This is a chatty thread. All are welcome. We're kind of psychologically oriented, sometimes. We try to be supportive. At times we discuss what that means.

It’s a place to plop down on the couch when you come home from work or wherever, or wake up in the middle of the night, or check in at lunch, rant a bit or not, and be among friends.

We advise you not to drink or drug and text your therapist ("t") - we speak from experience...

Sometimes the thread moves fast and you might get overlooked; sometimes it moves slowly and all you hear are crickets. Sometimes you get hugged or thanked pages later. So if it's a bigger question, you might want to start a new thread.

So jump in the campervan and join the roadtrip.
Thanks for this!

Little explanation on the title, lol.

129 is the product of only two primes, 3 and 43, making 129 a semiprime

Thank Wikipedia

I had to use a math fact being a math nerd.

I swear my h is more and more a child every year I am married to him. This morning he sneezed and got boogers on his shirt and I kid you not, he called me into the other room to come LOOK at it because "I've never seen this before" and "will you get me a new shirt?" and "I don't even remember sneezing." I was like well for gosh sakes dear, sneezing is not exactly a life event that people remember from sneeze to sneeze. I almost said "Would you like me to dress you too?" but I refrained.

New couch! Hope the campervan has really good shocks, otherwise I'm definitely going to spill on your cushions.

I am so bored. No kiddos yet today. I only have 20 minutes until I go to my push in class.

Nothing to respond to in my online classroom. I did do a little websurfing shopping. Lol. I did not buy anything (yet)...I was just looking. I need to deposit my birthday money before I can treat myself to something.

I am thinking about requesting to get off the bus. It would mean a "pay cut" from the school board, as I would no longer have that duty...but, it may be better for my sanity. I dunno. I guess I need to look at a budget to see if I can afford to "lose" the income from it. Tough decisions.

Well, I need to use the restroom and secure my computer before heading into the classroom. I will be back later couch.

My son has requested all homemade cupcakes and cake for his bday tomorrow. My kitchen is a mess, I am a mess, but I have 32 cupcakes for school and a cake for his bday dinner tomorrow night. Store bought is much easier

Nice new couch!

I think the new Couch looks like this:

Couch 129: The Semiprime Couch

SD can have a whole couch to herself!

Done with my push in class, now to wait in my little room until kids possibly get sent to me (otherwise I play on the computer). Hey, I gotta do something to keep my mind occupied.

I am thinking about emailing pdoc about my paranoia asking if there is anything we can do about it since it is too early for another dose of my antipsychotic. Or if he thinks my paranoia is more anxiety related. I just don't want him to take it the wrong way and call in an order to have be hospitalized. Maybe I could call, though initiating conversation about it is harder than emailing and having him initiate the conversation next time I see him. I hate feeling vulnerable admitting what I am struggling with to mental health professionals. I feel like it opens up a can of worms. But they probably do need to know, so it's a tough situation.

I dunno, I feel like I should call and schedule an "interim" appointment before my next injection appointment to see if he thinks there is anything else I could do to help myself towards the road of recovery and stabalization. There's only so much he can do. I'm just not sure if I am doing enough. I just want to be "normal."

Well, I just did a rough estimate of monthly expenses and I could afford to lose the pay from the bus if I sacrificed my 3-4 visits to mcdonalds a week (I grab stuff on the way home from CVS a lot). That would be doable, it would just require self control. It would probably be better for my health as well. Lol.

I think I am going to email the principal a written request to be moved off the bus and into a "coverage" person status if someone else is out sick. I really need time to care for myself and not being on a bus 2 hours a day would help with that. Here's hoping my request can be honored.

Aww Junk-what is going on? I am glad your kitty is okay. The same thing happened to me, except it was the night before I was supposed to go out of town for a friend's wedding. I am not sure I would have noticed him trying to use the litter box s frequently if I wasn't in my room packing. I also took him to the ER vet, and HOURS later at like 3 am I came home w a kitty with fluid injected in him, on pain meds and a prescription for anti-biotic. It was awful

I think i am becoming addicted to carrot sticks. So yum! I didn't even bother with ranch dressing today. They are delicious on their own. I think i like them more than cheez its, imagine that.

No news is good news on the car i guess, hoping to get it out of the shop today. If not, then tomorrow. Then i won't have to bum rides to/from work anymore. Yay!

Squirrely, its like i used to tell my friends - you may think im weird, but im the normal one in my family!

Junkdna - happened to me once when i was catsitting, with a very stand-offish cat. I only figured out he was sick because he let me get near him.

Ok does everyone remember the truck driver neighbour who obstructed our street everyday. I think he threatened me yesterday. Apparently he lost his truck and has to deliver beds now. Anyway yesterday someone let his tyre down and he came to my house asking if it was me. I never think about his truck now as it is much smaller and not a problem. He said he knew it was me that made him lose his own truck and I said it wasn't me and he said in a menacing tone "I sincerely hope not" I made an enquiry about the laws but they make you give your address and licence number when you deal with police, I certainly didn't intend to report him, I just wanted some bargaining power
Is this something to report? I hate wasting police time but what if something does happen.
