I can hear h snoring 2 rooms away. How can he sleep?!?!?!!?!!! I just hope son was able to fall asleep, he doesn't snore so I can't tell. Maybe I'll take a melatonin, I think I still have a couple in the bathroom medicine cabinet, if they're not expired. I try not to use them very often so they are effective when I really need them.

Thanks for being here, couchies. You guys are truly the best.

Well that's true enough.... and I guess i can also look at it this way too, that at least he's not letting his **** fester until he's almost 50 like I did.....

In my small little room. I took a live CE for my pharm tech certificate (I am starting early on them) last night. I have to have 20 hours of total CEs by December 2018. 4 must be live. Live ones are hard to fit into my schedule with 2 jobs, so there was one last night that also knocks out my 2 CE hours in medication errors requirement for the state, so I jumped on it.

18 CE hours left to go, only need 2 more live. There's one in the evening at the end of Feb that I want to take, so I may request that night off of CVS so I can take it.

The one last night also takes care of my patient safety requirement for my national certification. So, I am on the road to those a well. I like taking ones that knock out requirements for both state and national.

Hi, couch. Long time no see. A lot of things have changed but I'm doing an audit at the moment but wanted to stop in and say hello. I'll talk more a bit later.

What do you know 3 out of 6 assignments are finally graded in my masters classroom. I got 3.5/4 on 2 of them (that was participation because while I met the minimum number of posts required, I only posted on 2 days instead of 3, for the first 2 weeks)...my own fault.

The first week 1 assignment I got 10/10 on, now just to wait for the second week 1 assignment to be graded and the 2 week 2 assignments to be graded. Week 3 only have 1 assignment it is a team assignment, I am still waiting for my team members to send me there information/research so I can transfer it over to the powerpoint. Hopefully they will do their part and I will not be stuck with extra work to keep my own grade up.

Well, it is almost time for my push in class. Need to shut down my computer and secure it before then. Be back later couch.

H and I have a potentially 2-hour meeting at 2 with my daughter's school psychologist as part of their assessment to see if they should put autism on her IEP along with developmental delay (language). She was diagnosed on the autism spectrum privately a few years ago (she's 5 now--6 in a few months!-and in Kindergarten), but the school doesn't have that in their file. She can keep getting services through developmental delay till she's 8, but I'm really curious as to how they'll assess her. She's pretty high-functioning (though considerably behind in language), and I'm nearly positive there's ADHD in the mix, too. So they're doing testing of her in little 15-minute spurts throughout the next few months.

Just a bit nervous about the interview because last time I saw the school psych was at her IEP meeting earlier this month, the morning after I'd found out MC's wife had died, and I had a panic attack and started crying in the middle of the meeting and had to step out for a few minutes. So hopefully, this one will go better...

On the plus side, as H pointed out, she's a psychologist, so she knows about things like anxiety and panic attacks...(he'd explained to her and the others what was going on--well, not in detail--while I was in the bathroom).

Maybe life lately is just trying to teach me to get off the damn roller coaster and keep my feet on the ground. Be even-keeled, like my h always says I need to learn how to be. I dunno. I feel depressed today.

Interesting that if she has an official dx on ASD even from an outside therapist that the school has to do their own testing, to add that to her IEP. My son's dx were all made by a psychologist in my T's practice that he works with, with an official letter of diagnosis with recommendations for the classroom. So, when I was going to send him to public school (we ended up not going there) all they needed was that letter and they had an IEP meeting based on that and my recommendations. I hope it all works out for you and her!!

Hi couch.

I am just popping in. I realized my teaching certificate is expiring this school year, so I contacted my district's certification office about renewal. I want to keep it up just in case a teaching job comes along. I have enough inservice points to renew (actually more than enough), so I don't have to do anything but pay the fee. Lots of things up for renewal this "year". Oh well. Teaching is only every 5 years, so I will be good for a while.

In other news, this rodent is off the bus. YAY!

Another aid was willing to take over, so since the pay period ends tomorrow, we are going to make the swap on Monday. So, this afternoon is my last day on the bus (I already had someone covering for me tomorrow as I have to see my eye dr in the morning for my yearly check-up). No more bus. Hurray! Less money, but less stress, so worth it for my mental health.

Hey Ellahmae!

Squirrel good news about getting off the bus, and knocking out so many certs at once.

We had a fundraiser at work today, a local massage school came and gave 15 minute back massages. It was dreamy and I think I escaped to another reality for a while. Creepy but what can you do?

My oldest daughter is acting like a spoiled brat drama queen and I'm ready to scream. She and her boyfriend had another stupid argument over something petty and it devolved into another conversation about her weed for anxiety idea. Then she called me unreasonable and said I implied she was developing a drug habit. I wanted to say 'if the shoe fits' but I refrained, although I did say it is not unreasonable for a parent to dissuade her child from breaking the law. You might be asking Why do I insert myself into these arguments? Because I'm triggered multiple times a day by their bickering, and attempt to play peacemaker. I guess I could just wear noise canceling headphones so I can have peace in my own home, but I would rather muzzle them!

Things were so bad in session today, I can't even post about it in the usual thread. Punched her door and cracked it. She only has two rules, one is to not wreck her office. Oh man oh man, so awful. She isn't terminating me over it, and she didn't get angry (that I am aware of) but I cannot let that happen again.

Hug Ruh Roh! Sometimes I wish I could let that happen, just to let it out and feel it. I'm so glad she didn't get angry and understood. It sounds like she understands and is for you!
