Well, it's like Yogi Berra - he didn't say half the things he said.

It just occurred to me - if you and I are so good at being "therapists," we should open a joint practice and call it "ATATuna-ment."

I would be your first client right now. This baby shower is about to send me over the edge. I'm doing it basically by myself, as far as the planning. I do have some people who will help me put it together at the location. We only have 45 minutes and she wants a lot of fluff. I hope it comes together. I just need to shut my mind off. Too much going on in there right now.

Sunday, I'm going for a run and putting a meal in the crock pot. I'm coming home and laying in my lounge chair in the sun. Period. Couch 136: Transference Welcome!

Having difficulty sleeping sucks. I hope you do manage to get some rest

Hi couch, I'm bagging up a ton of old paper records in the storeroom into gunny sacks. Removing all hard plastic covers, binder clips, paperclips etc. Wish I could just torch the pile, which is taller than short 1.50cm me!

Appreciate the sentiment, but I've just about given up. Alarm clock goes off in an hour, so what's the point? Too much anxiety about today's upcoming events.

Doing a purge, are you? That amount of paper does sound like it'd make for a nice bonfire.

Dang, I know that feeling of how there's no point left to try to sleep. If you're a fan of caffeinated beverages, I hope you've your favourite drink if you need it.

Anticipatory anxiety is so hard to deal with! What are the events going on, if you feel sharing might be a comfort?

I do a lot of mindfulness meditation around anticipatory anxiety and I try to reward myself after a stressful event. I used to worry for weeks and then being unable to sleep well before a stressful event, and ugh I hope I don't ever encounter that again.

I treated myself to some iced mocha today haha. Since today's a frustrating tech support day at work for me

QM: Urgs! Why do you have to do that as a tech support? Sounds really annoying I had to do such stuff for 6 months and it really wasn't beneficial for... my mental and physical health Hope you're doing ok, iced mocha sounds great!

For fear of giving out enough information to identify myself, I'll have to be vague.

The entire grade level that I teach is participating in an activity today based on the unit being taught in my social studies classes over the past couple of weeks. I'll be spending the entire day with my home room class, and UGH. We have tons of behavior problems in that class. Thankfully, home room is one of the two classes taught collaboratively, so I won't be alone.

I'm well prepared for the event, but found out last night that the school board and the superintendent are coming to observe. I shouldn't have been surprised by this, since the event is huge, but it throws in an extra layer of stress.

I try to avoid caffeine, but I think today is going to be a Starbucks kind of day. Thanks for some really good advice and well wishes, guys!

And I agree with Demunie, QM. if you're in tech support, why do they have you doing file management?

Just do your thing. You're prepared. You'll be doing fine. If you see the school board and the superintendent, imagine them only wearing pink, flowered underwear

I do understand your anxiety though If something happens , it won't be the end of the world. Tell us how it went, will you?

I have to learn for a fluid mechanis exam on monday. I don't understand why I even have to take this class. It's probably the most annoying and boring thing I've ever seen, even worse than history (uhm, I don't mean to insult anyone, that's just my opinion). What I learned so far is, that a particle flows! You have to imagine that. Water flows! Air flows!

Oh and what is worse; They can't use the normal, standard notation you use in Mathematics. Nope. They have to do their own thing. Flowing water is so special after all...

Oh, something will happen, I just hope it doesn't happen when the big wigs are around. My co-teacher and I have a bet on how many referrals we'll have to write today. But yes, I'll update if you're interested Couch 136: Transference Welcome!

And that does sound...boring. Good luck to you in your studying! If they don't use standard notation, do you know if you'll have a formula sheet or something for the exam?

And no offense taken! I don't teach "history," per se, but Government and Economics, which is way fun (at least to me).

Maybe you subconsciously fancied the bug guy and your superego redirected your desire towards chocolate and peanut butter. Now your raging hormones are under control again, you don't need them.
