Yay, I love your books, JD!

I took some pictures of mine. Everything in my house is covered in a layer of dust, and most of my knick-knacks are feline...

I, too, am jealous of all the books. I used have bookcases full of them then when we moved states I had to get rid of a lot them. That was the saddest thing I had to do. Now I just don't have the space for them. I might have to rearrange things in the future.

I suspect my eldest D is using Derren Brown as a procrastination tool as every so often she will text me and say " this guy is insane" or have you seen x it's really very good" she drove back from the folk festival about 40 km this was only the second time she has driven the car and the first time she negotiated roundabouts. She did really well. I can't believe she is old enough to drive

I am jealous of all the beautiful book collections too... another case here of lost books necessitated by moving.

I'll sign onto the book envy bandwagon. My parents have most of my books still. If I end up going on the road trip I'm considering going on this summer, I may bring them back with me.

Daisy will you stop by my parents' place and pick up my birth certificate and the big knitted snake my grandmother made me?

His name is Snaky, if that helps

I loved Snaky. He was big enough to arrange in a circle that I could lie in the middle of, when I was four, hah.

I noticed that, too. I had to google it.

ETA: my graphic novel section is sorely lacking. I'll need to add this one.

Then it's time you added the Sandman books to your graphic novel collection!

Mine a mainly antiques and collectibles. I should take better care of them as the one between the modern encyclopaedia and the famous five book is worth over $400.

Eta nothing too highbrow here

Hurrah for Neil Gaiman! I love his work, but haven't yet got around to Sandman. His audiobooks are something to behold, too. So darn soothing.
