BTW, i sleep 10-12 hours every day and up to 20 hours at the weekend. I wish i could sleep all the time.

Morning, couch.

Well, I am up and finished my discussion posts for the week (week ends today). Now I am just chilling until CVS this afternoon.

My room is becoming a mess again, so I could clean a little...I probably should...I just don't have the energy.

I called in again, asked my boss please don't fire me. DD had a terrible experience last night, said she was afraid to be alone today, and I have to take her to the doctor for an std check. Also trying to get her back into t, someone stable who might stay more than 2 months. I feel angry and helpless. Thanks for listening.

Aw, so cute. Last night, H, D, and I were sitting on our back deck (it's ground level and is our backyard--live in townhouse). D said something about a kitten being stuck, and we were both like, "Sure, yeah, OK." Then looked over and saw a little gray and white kitten crawling up from between our deck and our neighbor's! A minute later, a gray tabby one emerged. Then saw the head of another gray/white one, but that one stayed under. Pretty sure they're neighborhood feral cats--the presumed mom gave us a staredown when she came back. Will try to remember to post a pic later. So adorable...wish H wasn't allergic to cats (not that we'd probably want to adopt feral ones). I was like, "You could get allergy shots, I've had a few friends be successful with that!" He was like, "Yeah, no." Sigh...those kittens were just so adorable, all stumbling and curious.

Senior cat was ex-feral. She was fine so long as I was around. To everyone else she was still a bit feral.

If they're kittens, they can still be socialized before six months or so. Why don't you call a local pet rescue group?

Some things in life are painful and difficult and all sorts of awful--and that should be enough to get help, but why does everything ouchy seem to get called trauma or triggering? I think those terms are pretty much meaningless now.

I emailed the festival in Belgium I play at every August saying I'd love to play again but would need complete financial sponsorship to do so.... about a month ago. But it's been nothing but crickets and radio silence from them.

So I resigned to not be able to go this year. It was heartbreaking. But what can you do? I even talked about it with M this morning. Time to move on!

Then, less than an hour ago the festival secretary emailed me, comment ça va and where have you been?? They'd been waiting for me to fill out my application. It looks like an email got lost somewhere along the line. They can give me substantial subsidy but cannot pay my airfare.

Talk about an emotional roller coaster.... it was easier thinking they'd forgotten about me. Now I am entertaining the hope that I can somehow scrounge together the money for my flight ticket, which considering my status is extremely foolish. Feeling all mixed up about this. I cannot even begin to describe how much I love this concert series, but I'm living month to month and playing money tetris to pay my bills. I've got a small amount in savings that I could dip into, but I save it for emergencies, because after that there's NOTHING. And no one to bail me out.

I have an ear infection that refuses to go away. Already had 2 rounds of drops and it's worse than it was at the beginning. It's burning and itching and general pain, and I want to pull it off.

I just spent the better part of two hours trying to catch a feral kitten. It can't be more than 8-10 weeks old and she just sits and meows in our bushes call day. There is also something very nasty wrong with its eye. I am not sure any organization that will come try capture a wild cat?

Now I need to check myself and my kids for ticks since we have been running around in bushes all afternoon.

But that's okay! It gives you time to study and to make sure you have your manual next time.

Also, hello couch. I'm staying late at work today to get some stuff done for next year. Turns out when I'm home all I want to do is to sleep or watch Netflix.

Try this organization - they might have/know of someone in your area who can help you with a trap. Or do a search for feral cat rescue in your state or city. A vet also might have a trap you can borrow.

This is when we need MKAC back - she was like the queen of feral kitten rescue.
