See? Youre a natural! Really, you sound like MY t! When he was trying to get me to let go of perfectionism, of tying everything up tight. Actually, everything -ie my brain - came UNTIED just before i met current t, but the habits were still there.

What kind of dog?

Around a year is such a great age for a first dog, especially if it's being fostered. They're potty trained, know how to live in a home, usually have been taught decent dog manners, but still young enough to be sweet and puppy-ish. ❤️

We adopted our dog from a foster home when he was just under a year and he's been a fantastic dog. He's seven now, getting just a little creaky but still sweet and loves his people.

I'll still be at my moms. I did want to go but I told my mom I'd come to her house...

Not totally sure of type--they think mix of a shepherd, lab, and apparently something else smaller because she's pretty short and just 30 lbs. (but not scrawny or anything). Tempted to do the DNA testing thing at some point.

What kind of dog do you have?
Thanks for this!

And, current T tonight -- who I am sure will do her best to convince me that it's the empowering thing to do and so on. At the last session, she tried telling me that she couldn't do either what I was considering doing -- sticking around till my lease ends. I kinda wanted to tell her that there are lots of things I can do, that she can't and vice versa. So, that's kind of a pointless path to go down.

I'm exhausted but trying not to think about it all -- everything just sucks all around but I also know I'm kvetching needlessly when I have the means to actually up and move rather than continue feeling uneasy all the time (a luxury, I know, few have).

On the other hand, it is a lovely day here.
Couch road trip to help AY move? With plenty of apple pie oreos?

You'll be so glad to see the last of us it'll smooth over the whole process of transitioning to a new place!

I was JUST getting with the bonding etc program that you'd said the Couch road trips were supposed to be about until......you had to go and mention.....apple pie oreos.

Like no, just no. That's an abomination if ever there was one.

When did I ever say the Couch road trips were for bonding?

No way. They're for bickering and getting on each others' nerves, yet having a good time.

Without (ahem) strangling each other.

That's got to be either a complete story or poem in and of itself; or, the first / last line of the next great American novel.

Executive dysfunction ahoy...so much I want to do, and I'm not doing any of it...I have an hour and a bit until I have to go and 'sleep', so I should do something.

As long as it is not the abominable flavored kinds.(not that I plan on being anywhere near such a venture)
And I think you have it mixed up - use shaving cream to clean windshields. Looks like cool whip but not greasy. Cool whip is more of a lube - petroleum product.

True. We obviously can't be trusted. Our blood sugar levels will be too high.

Besides, you know, SD, you'll end up rescuing us anyway after una drives into a ditch because she can't see through the cool whip cleaned windshield.

It's all fun and games until someone puts cool whip on the windshield.
Thanks for this!

omg, i am peeing EVERY FIVE MINUTES. it better not be another kidney stone.

i woke up feeling very uncomfortable in my bladder region, though that went away after i peed a few times. then i got very nauseous and threw up. i've been drinking baking soda water all day, and the nausea seems to have gone away. but now i'm peeing every 5 minutes, with no relief in between.

but, i also peed all last weekend too, just not to this extent, but was okay during the week. i wonder if it is a psychological issue?

i can't do anything.

Maybe a UTI? Is it burning at all when you pee? When I had a UTI (actually, I think it had progressed to bladder infection), I was constantly peeing. They can easily be checked for with urine test (or I think they actually have tests you can buy in drugstore, but if it's positive you'd have to go to doctor to get prescription for antibiotics).

Kind of ditto, a mystery mutt. We've never done the DNA thing, but he's probably got some German shepherd, and he's got that lab undercoat, and probably some Australian shepherd. He's bigger, though, around 70 lb.

Kidney stones are often caused by UTIs and then they cause UTIs in turn. You might want to ask your doctor if it's possible that you have a chronic low-level UTI without many symptoms that is creating the problem.
