I keep having the thought today that cleaning the cutlery in the wrong order caused Ebony's passing.

A few months before Ebony passed, I had some sessions with a charity theraist and OCD was one thing he helped me with and I told him I kept doing the cutlery in the house in a set order and he encouraged me to try and start doing it in a different order, which I did, few months on from that Ebony became sick and with that charity you only get a limited number of sessions and I've had all the sessions I can have there because they have a lot of demand

What if cleaning the cutlery in the wrong order really did make Ebony sick and caused her passing?

What if cleaning it all in the wrong order makes Tigger sick?

That's magical thinking, which is part of OCD (which I also have). It's partly a way to try to have control over uncontrollable things in life, like "If I do this exactly right, nothing bad will happen." When that's not really true--and the same for the opposite, if you do something a different way, it doesn't cause something bad to happen. But it's easy to think that the way our brains work.

Are you currently seeing a T? I can't recall. If so, this would be really good to discuss with them.
Thanks for this!

No the charity is the only mental health help here and you only get a limited number of sessions due to demand and I used them all up

Has anyone used their Amazon Prime membership at Whole Foods? I’m guessing you need to bring your card with you and the charge will be made to that?
Thanks for this!

I have not, didn't know you could. I don't think I even have a card for my Amazon Prime.

They’re giving a $10 credit to use on Amazn to Prime members for Prime Day (7/16) if they spend $10 at Whole Foods. Being cheap, I want to go and spend as close to $10 as possible. I don’t normally shop there but they used to have crab cakes I really like.
Thanks for this!

Do you have an Amazon Prime Visa? I know you can use that at Whole Foods and get 5% back now, and it should be automatically connected to your Prime account. Otherwise...I don't know, do we have Prime customer ID numbers?
Thanks for this!

The other day, the woman at the register said you can download an app (Whole Foods app?) and they’ll scan that to give you discounts on prime eligible items that day. In my city, cherries & mangoes have been Prime discounted for two weeks...
But for now if you don’t have the app, they’ll offer a courtesy and give you the discount anyway if you say you’re a member.
Thanks for this!

I realize I'm acting out right now, but I don't really care. I cancelled tomorrow's and Thursdays sessions, but said I'd see him on tuesday. . He said he would have to reconsider things- because he assumed I would be done with my last exam before his break, but I'm not going to beg for attention or contact during his break.

But you complained when I used its etymological relative senescence last week...

In his senectitude the senior seneschal mourned the senescence of the senile senator.

So now you’re saying you have rectitude in your senescence?

Whoops, probably shouldn’t have said rectitude around you...

I switched to whisky. Hasn’t happened since. They appreciate good liquor.
