I have a salt lamp as well. Mine has a little metal container in the top to heat essential oils.

We've had a wintery mix of weather today: rain, hail, sleet, snow (that didn't stick) and now just really overcast and puddley. It's nice for So-Cal. I just hope it's sunny for Monday when I'm at Disneyland. Yippie! Still worried about my T appointment tonight but it will probably be okay. I think I'm catastrophizing in my head. Kit

I've usually got candles up all over the whole Christmas season. The lights and candles when it's dark and cold outside are a favorite part of the holiday season. I buy beeswax candles at the farmers market and burn them on Christmas Day so that the whole house smells like honey. Honey and spiced cider, because I put on a crockpot of spiced apple cider too (the non-alcoholic version), with cinnamon and oranges and cloves and cardamom.

funny story about lava lamps. a long time ago not long after h and i got married i guess my mom somehow overheard us talking about lava lamps and she mistakenly thought h liked them, so she bought him one for christmas that year. he is freaked out by them, of course, and couldn't figure out why in the world she bought him one. i never said anything to her and neither did he lol we ended up putting it in our son's room until it just quit working one day. i guess we threw it away, i don't remember now....

well it's time for me to head to school. after tonight only one more week!! woohoo! i am not real keen on finding out how i did on the last exam though. it was so hard. ugh. i will find out tonite... my grade is most likely not pointy anymore....

I worked at Spencer Gifts for a couple years in high school. I was surrounded by lava lamps. I probably still have the SKU number for them stored in the back of my brain (had to key in numbers by hand--yeah, I'm old!)

Also, my T had one on his desk for a bit, but don't think it's there anymore? (As I said to T recently, I'm very observant about people, like about what they're wearing, their body language, etc., but I'm not at all observant about decor.
