I have a dilemma. I usually buy something little cute/silly for everyone on Christmas besides their gift. One year was a stress ball that looked like coal. Last year was troll dolls. This year I bought 4 different things! Do I give them all, or save for another year. The things are slimy goo, hatchimals, minion figures, and those stress squishies (i.e. cat and you rub it's belly). The slimy goo has to be given this year, but the others can technically wait. Part of me wants to do it all, the other part says to wait so I don't have to think of something next year. What do you think?

I would misplace them or decide they were so cute I'd end up keeping them all. My vote is gift them.

Hehe. I LOVE minions! So yeah, I'd probably keep them if I don't gift them now.

I'm going to keep ((hugging)) until the facilitators ask me to stop.
I will of course abide by their decision.

Went to the store tonight and bought some hair clips to change my daughters' bows to barettes because neither one will wear the bows anymore. Got myself some markers too to color and a pack of something else since DH found mine and threw them away and said I was going to get him fired because of my SH. Stupid I know but I want to feel like he doesn't control me.

I had to google barrettes I didn't know they were also called that! My sister loved Claires accessories when she was younger.

It's not stupid at all. How does your SH affect his work unless he has to take time off when you're not very well? But even then he doesn't have the right to throw away your things.

Day three of trying to get rid of the flatmate.

1.I did what her boyfriend always does- I left the toilet seat up.

2.I cooked fish which I bought because I wanted too, but also because I knew the smell would annoy her. When she came in she slammed the bathroom door first then ran down to complain about me ( I heard the door) .Whilst I expected the building manager to come up she didn't.

3.I didn't answer my door either when she knocked.

3. I told her I hadn’t paid much attention to my appearance the past few years—didn’t buy new clothes except stuff like jeans, abandoned style, wore only basic makeup, etc.—and I wanted to change that but was having trouble getting started. She suggested an “experiential” session at the nearby mall to get my makeover started. [ETA: she would be coming too.]
4. She asked if she could give me a Christmas hug. God help me, I said yes. Stiffest one-armed hug ever. Got an immediate headache that’s still with me.

I never expected this new development!

Do you want to go shopping with her, perhaps you'll see new SIM card store?

It's coming along actually! We reserved a truck for him (have to be 21 so he couldn't). Saturday is the big day! I am both excited for him and sad for me. I know I am going to look at him in his apartment on Saturday and picture him as the precocious little 5 year old that he once was and not the 20 year old man that he is.... and think "my baby!!!!"

I still see my 15 year old sister as a little 7 year old.He will always be your baby and nothing will ever change that.

I'm a sucker for anything cheesy. Could you make him a surprise box to open, and hand it to him when he's about to ride into the sunset. It could be anything- perhaps even just a note, but that way you'd be with him "there" too.
