OK, jealous of the rates your T charges, but we live in a pricey area for T's...My regular one (a PhD) is $175, insurance reimburses 60% of that. The one I'm seeing tomorrow though--she's only charging $155 for a 1.5 hour session, then her regular rate is $130 for 50 minutes--I guess the advantage of seeing an LCSW instead of psychologist (ex-T, also LCSW, was cheaper too--ex-MC, also PhD, was same rate as current T).

His website says $150 for a 50 minute session so he may have raised them since I started seeing him. Also, I see him for 45 minutes so maybe he changed that too. He's a PsyD if that makes any difference.

I didn't expect much and I didn't get much, but it was better than not going.

I'm really overwhelmed with T related feelings. I hate that my sessions are not until Monday but i'm good at hiding things and keeping them in so I'll manage somehow. Just sick of winter and how it's ruined my session for this week

I woke up with an uneasy feeling that I’m not welcomed no matter where I go. It’s an odd feeling. No one has hinted to me (at least not that I am aware) that they don’t want me around. I have however been told that I’m really hard to read ( I never saw that as a bad thing). I think sometimes people don’t know what to make of me because I never get super excited about anything and I’m monotone so my pitch never changes in any situation. I’ve been having trouble keeping up with conversations so maybe because I haven’t had much of a response to what people are telling me it makes it seem like I’m not interested. I don’t know. It’s certainly not on purpose if I’m making people think I’m not interested. I am just not someone who has a lot of charisma. I’m just not one of those people who are able to light up a room when I walk in. I have never been. Even though I envy people who are able able to actually do that, I never saw it as something too horrible that I can’t do that but maybe it is horrible.

@Lemoncake, I scheduled my 2nd session with the sexual assault center: needed an evening appointment so it'll be on 5th March.

I feel like garbage tonight physically. I felt okay most of the day until after I picked up my kids from school. Now feel nauseous and have chills. I hate getting sick because if I get any fever it means an ER visit. I'm hoping I feel better in the morning so I don't have to miss my Session with T.

OK, asked consulting T for session tomorrow, then emailed T and canceled for Thursday, saying "I need some time to think" (because otherwise he'd have probably offered me 5 other time options!) and am a bit weepy right now but also feel I did the right thing. (And consulting T had a couple other options this week if she's already scheduled the one for tomorrow.)

I was thinking of PM'ing you! I'm glad you got back to them and are doing what's best for you. How are you?

Journaling usually helps me in those kinds of situations.
