I think you should include it. Doesn't matter if you don't know exactly what happened, if it's upsetting it's worth putting down.

Maybe bring a bone or something similar to chew on for him? That's what my parents always do with their dog.

Thanks for the fashion update. My T wears absolutely nothing fascinating except when she wears black flowers in her hair. Disappointingly she hasn't done that the past couple of times.

Hi everybody! Good morning! I'm at work but Wednesday's are my slow days. I have a doctor appointment at 3:15PM and a vet appointment for my kitty at 4PM. (They are on the same side of town so my Dad is going to take my kitty to her appointment and I'm going to meet him over there once my appointment is over, which should be plenty of time to get there by 4 because my doctor doesn't usually run late--one good thing about her anyway.) But I can tell I'm nervous because my tummy is upset. Hoping both appointments go well. Took my walk this morning, in the dark, but I didn't get paranoid that someone was following me. Major victory there! HUGS to all, Kit

I've become so overly sensitive to certain topics that I'm not even sure what to make of myself anymore. The people around me were having a conversation just after I got to work this morning. This guy I don't really know apparently fell and injured himself, maybe had a bandage, I didn't get up to look. My boss jokingly said to him "Is there anything you want to tell us about your wife? You can talk to me." The three guys laughed and injured guy made some comment about how weak he was. I wanted to ask them if we're really joking about domestic violence now, but I kept my mouth shut. I get it that they were just joking around, but it was hard to hear people making light of things like this. Please feel free to tell me I'm too sensitive.

No way, NP. That's absolutely out of order. So sorry you had to go through that.

You're definitely not being too sensitive, NP. Does your boss know about what happened with your H? If so, I'd consider mentioning to him that you overheard it. Because what if one of the guys there was also a victim of DV, or maybe someone he's close to was? It's just not OK to joke about. But it also depends on your relationship with your boss.

I think one could say something if the people were trying to joke with you about it. But if they were joking amongst themselves, I do not see it as something that can or should be controlled. There will always be jokes that some are sensitive to, and although there may be every reason to be sensitive, that doesn't mean that everyone else has to change or be hyperconscious about possible sensitivities that someone might have.

My boss knows about the arson. When I talked to him the day after to tell him I needed some time off I'm pretty sure I told him that he'd been threatening to kill me, but I don't think I ever used the words domestic violence and he doesn't know any other details about what was going on. I'm not even sure if he would consider any of it DV. I don't think I will say anything else about it. I don't want to be seen as a snowflake or some other derogatory term. I just really wish they wouldn't have these conversations over the top of my head. It gave me a flashback to a particular night that I'd rather not have to remember first thing in the morning.

Boyfriend got diagnosed with Asperger's today. Happy for him that he knows what's wrong with him after 26 years. Kind of an 'inconvenient' mix of diagnosis though, with me having bpd. But we managed to make it work so far so I guess it's fine.

I just ordered some Reebok's. My other ones are wearing out. But I've had them for three plus years.

I'm an Aspergic and I do not regard it as a disease or a disability.

I changed up my lentils a little bit yesterday, instead of using fire roasted tomatoes i used diced tomatoes with green chilis. It's quite spicy but good! A nice change from my usual. Next time I think i'm going to try making it with italian spiced tomatoes.

I'm sorry, that might have come out the wrong way. I know my partner doesn't think so either, he already suspected this for quite a while and has told me so. I'm just glad he knows why he doesn't think like other people sometimes, which used to bother him.

Also, I guess quite a few of us think like this. I mean yes some parts of BPD suck, but I can experience far more intense emotions than 'normal' people, so there's some positives to it too.
Thanks for this!

This makes me think of how my T was talking about my anxiety the other day, saying how it does have some positive qualities. Like probably making me a better friend. And good at my job as an editor (well, the OCD likely plays a role there, too!).

Aren't OCD and anxiety related? Like maybe OCD is a more extreme manifestation of anxiety?

Saw my son for a little bit last night, he came by to say hi to h's friends who are in town that hadn't seen him since he was a lot younger. They were amazed that it was a man that stood before them and shook their hands. They remembered a kid haha.

He has 2 more tattoos - another little pineapple and the other is a little one of trees and birds.

Earlier I looked ahead to the next chapter in my class, finally into the stuff that's most interesting to me, the Sun, Moon and other planets in our Solar System! (the name of the class is Solar System, so it's about time haha). The first up is our very own Star.

Hi Couch,

How do you prioritise stuff within your sessions? It's been quite a week, and I'm not sure where to start.
