It got up to about 80 degrees here but is plummeting into the high 30's- low 40's again tomorrow and over the weekend

I wish I wasn't such a pushover/wuss. I REALLY need to take time off work next weekend due to the pet sit gig I booked last month but I got scared trying to talk to my boss and couldn't do it, now I'm sure the schedule is made and I've screwed myself. This is one issue I don't ever see changing. I am far too afraid of conflict

So what are you going to do? Cancel the gig?

I texted the therapist two hours ago with a simple yes/no query and she has failed to respond.

No way, its' 650$

Probably just quit the job or not go in and get fired. I don't much care about it but i can't confront people. Especially women

it has been my experience that nothing in therapy is a yes/no query. they want to talk about it at length.

I like Madison's books, too. I'm not vegetarian (though if I were to accept the notion of a flexitarian, I guess I'd be one), but tend to alternate weeks of eating meat and not. Either way, I don't eat much meat and largely stick to chicken and fish. Anyway, I tend to find the best vegetarian recipes are from ethnic cuisines, both from a flavor perspective and from a nutritional one. Cuisines that are traditionally vegetarian, or predominantly vegetarian, often have balanced the nutrition over time.

thank god for pets. if they didnt need feeding walking playing litter changes i would have moped in bed all week.

I miss T. It will be our 4 year anniversary on Monday. We wouldn't have celebrated or anything. But it would be acknowledged.

This seems unnecessary, even if you ultimately cannot bring yourself to have a confrontation. Why not ask for the time first and if denied, THEN quit (I wouldn't just not go in, because that inconveniences your coworkers).

Maybe you could do something special to celebrate by yourself that could be shared with her later. For example, you could go pick out a fancy schmancy card. Then, you could spend some time reflecting on your 4 years together, and write her a message about that in the card. Idk. Just an idea.

My gp made a face when i said i dint want to see another psychologist. she doesnt think it is a good idea.

So I found a site called zazzle. Really cool. You can make your own greeting cards among other things. Now I just have to think of what to say.

Morning couchies! *grabs rea, plunks down*... well last night was the night of creepy dreams... I was transporting rescue dogs and had a layover in my home town. Stayed with a friend that I love in small doses but was in her house almost a full day. Called an Uber to leave, car pulls up and we head to the next stop when I realize the sticker says Lyft and nothing feels right about the car... realize I am in a bad place and start negotiating...
My mind seems to hate me with a passion as of late... but at least this time it left T out of it. I will take that as progress.

on the bright side, at least you were going to rescue dogs, that shows you are a good person

Yeh, I went to Arkansas to get 11 dogs out of a hoarding situation. What a disaster of an adventure! But I got all the dogs to safety. Then there are the rescue cats with various special needs and the rescue horses. T is not a pet person so he thinks I am a bit nutty using the resources I do on them but these are the ones most rescues won’t touch. Love my furry family!
I have a cat with only two legs, diabetic cart, IBD, Fiv, 2 FeLV, 4 on hospice... it is a crazy house! A mostly blind dog, two dogs being treated for heart worm (from before they got to me). The polo pony who is too smart, Hudini horse that can’t be kept in a fence because she had been neglected, a red headed pony mare, and the poster horse for why backyard breeders suck. love them all.

I really hope the weather isn't garbage. I really need to see Baby T today since I got screwed out of session yesterday. I'm hoping when he goes away in May, I will just be able to "end" and only return if really needed. I am getting tired of therapy. Very tired of it. I just want my T. I get too depressed seeing other people

I had a session with my t yesterday.

Last night, I dreamt that the kids’ dad accidentally ran into the corner of our house with his car. When I asked what happened, he he was angry with me for asking, which somehow meant I’d made him run into it. So every time he left the house after that, he’d run the car into the same corner. Just before I woke he was angry at me for something, walked out and got into the car, and was driving straight for the house corner with the boys in the car.
