Wfs, thats an interesting dream. I always dream about my parents house, but up til your dream, i never saw it as the family structure. I DID always recognize it as my mother wanting to change / remodel, esp after my father passed. And somehow there was always a mess for me to clean up.

Hi Couchies! I'm feeling bleh today. But it's Friday so I should be happy about that, although I don't have any concrete plans for the weekend. I'm semi-worried about Therapy on Monday. It's been like a month since I've been. Maybe I'm out of practice. I want to email former T again, but I'm trying not to. Day 2 of not having soda. I did get coffee from Starbucks this morning after my morning walk. It was so delicious as I haven't had Starbucks coffee in quite a while. I get their tea too, once or twice a week. I really want to snuggle up on the couch today and hang out with all my PC friends. HUGS Kit

(passes around a bowl of carrots) hey couchies. This has been a stressful 56 hour work week that I'm glad is almost over. I'd have been a frazzle right now if not for all my walking. That helps so much!! Sunday I'm not working overtime cuz I'm going on a field trip to a local observatory with my astronomy class, should be fun. Although I do have to write up a report about it to get the extra credit.

Tomorrow I'll be walking to the library to read chapter 11. After that my plan is to go to a local coffee shop, get a chai tea or something, relax and write for awhile. And then go to the grocery store. I'm going to make black bean chili first. Yum!

Hey Couchies, well... I got impulsive and went to one of my favorite “second hand” shops... apparently someone cleaned out their sewing room... I got a HUGE bag of all new cotton prints and blenders for quilting for $30. Only feeling guilty if I don’t get it washed and stashed before H gets home. Lots of great prints I normally wouldn’t buy but they will be good for eye spy quilts for the little ones. Also got a bunch of wool suit jackets and pants to cut up for quilts... and still spent less than running to the fabric store for “just one thing”. Hoping my sons behaviors will be OK enough that I can quilt this weekend.

Hey couchies. I'm tired just reading about what everyone is up to. I had a normal week and I'm just exhausted. I can't imagine 20 more hours on top of my already too long week, whew. Hope you all have a good weekend.

How long should one miss one's former T? This has been going on for 7 months and it feels like it is going to go on forever. Kit

I really don't think there's any 'should' about it... I'm sorry it's so hard. Hugs

I was just thinking today that I miss my former T who I haven't seen in twelve years and who has been dead for three years.

Exactly...I could have said the same thing. It's probably been four years since I last saw my former counsellor J...and I still sometimes miss the way she would push me into my feelings when I was thinking too much.

I have no idea at the moment when I will see R next, due to the Easter break, which was only supposed to be a week.

I am on the fence about disclosing how difficult this has been, because I don't want to be a pain. Truth be told, I am angry at the way things worked out...this is the time of year that I need the most support, and reaching out is not something I am good at.

I'm not sure how to raise it tactfully. Any thoughts?

I tend to set tact aside when I'm trying to communicate about my therapist to my therapist. Basic human decency, yes, but tact is a thing that prevents the true expression of your full feelings. That's usually the kind that usually keeps me stuck in the first place.

I'm actually making progress on getting the house decluttered. Clean is beyond my grasp but I think I can get to decluttered before the movers come. I don't want to pay to move stuff I don't use anymore.

It's hard with stuff my mom gave me. Part of me says I should donate it but it feels like a betrayal of her memory.

I have spent all week tidying and cleaning my house for my Ds birthday on Monday and over night the cats have gone wild and trashed it. They have pulled the dining chairs over, spit all their toys out of the box and scattered them, knocked the plant in the bathroom over. And now its all-in wrestling rhroughout the house. I havent been to the sunroom to see what damage is there yet. I am so so tired and dont know if i can do anything more.
Just discovered they have chewed through every speaker wire in th ehouse unbelievable.
Why now? why does **** happen all at once?

For me it comes and goes, but I was really intensely missing ex-MC last Thursday, at the 1-year anniversary of our termination. So I think it takes as long as it takes...

Grief takes as long as it takes. There's no hurrying it.
