i see mine tomorrow. kinda nervous because we get to talk about all the stuff that came up and hit the fan *whooo hoooo*. Bring it on. I don't feel like telling her i did feel suicidal at one point over the past week - we're too new for that. It wasn't a huge deal, i dealt with it, and... yeah. I did reach out and get support - but not from her. Methinks that is a chapter that doesn't concern her at this time - there may be more such chapters later on that she will get to deal with...

I realized I'm not going to miss my appointment with my T, which is good. See him on the 7th!

Thanks sunny!

And I wanted to say to your earlier post that it doesn't sound at all negative to be talking about your daughter having problems. I'm so sorry she's having problems. I know you've been concerned about her for a while and I hope her therapist helps her to feel better.

4 hours and 24 minutes.

One of my littles jumped up when he realized it was 930 and SCREAMED OH MY GOD (insert T name) SHOULD BE AT WORK RIGHT NOW! EEEEEEEEEEEK!!! Scared me!

She usually gets there at about 830. He's excited.

For some reason I am really agitated today. It think the time off from work, dealing with family, the new year, etc.. has just gotten to me. Luckily the gym I go to opened back up today and I was able to go an expend some energy on the elliptical machine for an hour. Unfortunately, physical exhaustion isn't helping much.

Anyone have any thing that works to settle yourself down when the brain gets spinning out of control?

T minus 5 days and 6 hours...

McKell, I find taking a walk to be really calming, preferably among nature, in the woods, on the beach, etc. Lately, I have also found playing piano to be helpful in getting my mind off of troubles. I haven't really played since I was a child, so if I sit down and attempt to play, it takes all my brain power to read the music, find the correct fingerings, etc. It's a great brain distractor.

((((((((((jinny -- life raft to you!!!)))))))))))

McKell, i find sleep and reading to be most effective. I've been extremely irritable and snapping at my housemate (me mum) a lot. I try to just get alone, get comfortable and warm, and read. Luck to you!

I did well in therapy today =) I get a gold star. Holiday Break, therapy support thread
I was able to communicate well and relate and stay pretty focused and present nearly the whole time. We talked about my reactions to last time and how she had had similar reactions in the past with her own T once upon a time, and why she felt it was important for me to have the time slot when she'd double-booked... and also why she welf she could honestly communicate things to me. So it was good - probably best yet since i've met the woman. She even gave some tidbits about her life, her kids, her nursing. I did start to dissociate at the end, but she could tell and did not push me further. YAY!
Best to all still waiting for their T;s

I am struggling, not finding any reason to continue anymore, today is a bad day. Found out that my T will not be back now until next week, he was supposed to be back this week........there isn't any reason to be here, I can't find one....my kids shouldn't have a mom like me. I am trying so hard to make the thoughts go away.........

Kiya - I think you have enough gold stars to draw from the treasure chest! What a great session! I'm glad she shared a bit about herself - I love it when my T does that! Congratulations of a successful session!
