Welcome to the uke side, LT. I can bore you with YouTube resources via PM if you like?

Go for it! Don't think I realized you played? How is it to learn? (assume someone with no musical instrument experience who doesn't know how to do things like sight read or read chords)

Has anyone had to do the "pick the truck images" Captcha on here? I just failed it miserably (if you just show me the front, how can I tell if it's a pickup vs. SUV? and is that Army transport vehicle a truck or no?) I was able to pass the umbrella ones.

I used to play the violin, and mandolins are tuned the same way so the left hand bits are somewhat intuitive. I’ve never had to strum anything though so my right hand is real confused.

I did find that doing yoga regularly helped with flexibility in, ah, SIM card shopping. If you know what I mean.

(I like that pose, by the way. My teachers called it Bird Dog.)

Amy and I had a surprisingly intense and productive session today. I have been stuck with some lingering shame from my last Liz session a week ago, and she helped me through it a little. It's weird having to see my own face when I start to tear up, though. It's not as subtle as I thought it was. I'm going to go back to draping a sock over my image. (There is no option to turn it off in the video platform she uses.)

That made me tear up a little. Okay, a lot. Thanks, dear. A timely reminder.

The lemon cake! I forgot to tell you, a while back when I posted a picture of a lemon cake on your profile I printed the actual cake recipe because it looked yummy. A couple weeks ago I had a ton of lemons so I dug out the recipe and baked it. It was delish.

I am thankful that I don't see my image on the video platform that my T uses. I don't need to worry about that.

I am eating too much. Partly due to quarantine but mostly due to i think I have an ulcer from taking NSAIDS too long. (I had a bad back for two weeks at the end of February and then I fell down the stairs at the start of March and injured myself. So another 3 weeks of NSAIDS.) Anyway, I am eating Graham crackers and such to settle my stomach all the time because of all the acid. It's been a little better today so maybe it's not an ulcer after all. I'll continue to monitor.

Trying to get at least a minimal amount of motivation to do SOMETHING. I'm not being unreasonable, I don't want to learn a foreign language or anything, I just want to unpack the last few boxes from my move and read some articles for work. I don't know if it's depression or natural laziness or what. Topic for T tomorrow.

I think I have managed to tune the ukulele? I thought I had it, but then one site left me confused (that it's same as first four guitar strings), and I thought I had something an octave off. Nope, was right the first time (using an online tuner).

I almost forgot my 5 year anniversary with T today! I wish I was doing better. The update email I sent her was pretty depressing. But I got the chance to ask her for advice about L's emergency. I know L and I talked about it today, but the templates are so strong and powerful. I wanted to know what she thinks I should do.

I finished my paper and turned it in with 4 hours to spare tonight. I also ended up seeing T1s partner and didnt reschedule another appointment for now.

My 10 year old has been coughing all day long and says he feels bad. Now I'm nervous he could have covid, but really hoping it's just a cold.

If you have a inbuilt webcam on your laptop you can cover it by taping a piece of paper over it. I don't like seeing myself on video too.

Yay congrats!

How was the session?

Try to keep him away form the others and keep and eye on his temperature.

That's a good option. I usually feel okay with her seeing me; I just don't want to see myself. When I am in a joking mood, I also sometimes distract myself by making faces, so it might serve more than one purpose to stop looking at myself.

Never! To the Hi neighbor, not the rest. I would love it. I took the day off today and plan to sleep and not do anything productive except write a paper for school.

Thanks, Lemon. Session was alright, just talked about my sons' outbursts this week and talked about IOP. T1 referred me to a place back in February and I've been trying to get a hold of them. This T said he disagrees with that place and gave me a number to another place. And he said he doesn't like that I don't see a pdoc until the end of June.

I'm really hoping it's a cold for my son. His temp was only 99.0 last night and today he says he feels bad and still coughing.

I am not in the mood to deal with Info today, so I canceled on her with 3 hours to spare (not within 24 hour cancellation window). I already paid her, so that's gone, but it's totally worth it for an Info-free hour.

I was already thinking of canceling (bad allergies--definitely allergies-- and I want to go back to bed, plus so sick of Zoom) but was going to stick it out, so what tipped me over the edge was she wrote about an hour ago saying she couldn't open the story (kid living in a mausoleum) I sent her. I sent it to her a month ago. We talked about it at our last session. Does she even pay attention? Look at dates on emails? How can someone exist in a fog like that?

Rant over. time.

Wow, ATAT. That's the most Info thing ever, but...yikes.

No wonder you cancelled the session. I hope she gets her sheet together by next time you 'see' her.
