that sounds delightful! er, the queso/guac/salsa trifecta, that is. enjoy!!

I ordered lunch in today, including a root beer float. Ice cream maybe doesn't fix everything but it helps!

Root beer floats are the best!

Gotta say, an A&W fountain float in an icy mug... mmm!

Una, as a Michigander, do you also enjoy the occasional Vernors float?

Esther has to stay at the vet hospital until at least 6 PM. We can check with them after that. That's when they are going to give her more insulin. They got her evened out but I guess they want to see what happens on her next dose. It's hard to be patient. I want her to be okay and I also want my kitty cat! I have to remind myself that she is in a good place (I hope--never used their services before) and that she is getting good care (again, I hope) and that she's going to be better for being there.

That sounds like a completely disgusting combination. But maybe gluten free?

The real problem is I don’t like root beer.

I dislike root beer a lot. I have made it before from roots etc. That part was fun but it still tasted like root beer - so I gave it all away.

My mother hated root beer. Oh, i should answer the pc best soda poll - Faygo Rock & Rye. Or Towne Club Red Pop.

I never did find out what rock n rye means, but it is delicious. Its brownish red. Maybe like a cherry cola.

Eta - yes on cream soda.

Another favorite is diet chocolate pop. Yummm. Canfields i think.

Really the only carbonated drinks I like are coke, club soda/seltzer water, and beer. We would have floats every so often made with coke or nehi for my sibling. I was not all that keen. I preferred my ice cream separate from my drink.

I get myself a 4-pack every birthday if I can find it and that’s it for the year.

Virgil’s is the best.

I never had nehi, but it keeps being an answer in the NYT crosswords.

The grossest soda? Irn-Bru in Scotland. Bubble gum flavor.

Mountain dew - i always see as new pop. Just googled it - became modernized in 1969, the Moon landing. Google is so good. It validates my quirks.

Never had an ice cream cake. Recently had a 7-11 Cherry Cola Pushup though and it was really nice. Would buy again.

Favorite carbonated beverages:
Root beer, Dr. Pepper, Izze Tangerine, Grape Crush, San Pellegrino, Cream Soda when I can find it, the occasional Coke
