H and I played scrabble again tonight. He won as always, but not by much. I employed some strategies I've been learning haha. It helped! He told me I played a respectable game or something like that.

I just went out to the convenience store and bought a six-pack of beer, a bag of chips, a pint of ice cream and two hard boiled eggs. The cashier told me this is what it looks like when his girlfriend tells him to fend for himself. I don't think he even meant it insultingly. I replied, "this is what 2020 has led to".

You had grain (beer made from hops), veg (potato), dairy and possibly fruit, and protein. Sounds pretty well rounded!

It was mint chocolate. So close to being well rounded. Should have gotten Cherry Garcia.

Mint is an herb, though. Close enough.

ETA: ooh, and chocolate comes from a bean.

More veg! Ive made the same joke myself many times, about getting the 4 basic food groups from the drugstore.

I actually found an online group that mourns the demise of Stouffers Noodles Romanoff. Those were soooo good. Theyve been gone for like 20 years.

First birthday free from abuse. So much mixed feelings, so therapy on the day itself helped a lot. We talked about the reasons why I believe I shouldn't exist.

Sister didn't wish me, but my younger brother did.

Thank you! I'm honestly so glad I made the decision to leave my family. Bittersweet birthday but I'm really glad I'm not around for the traditional family argument that always happened.

Just got distracted from my NaNo writing to email my former T from when I was in med school. (There's a character in my novel based on her, so she's been on my mind a lot lately.) I haven't emailed her for some two and a half years. I hope she's well, and that she emails me back.

I don't feel good. I can't get anything done. I'm just eating junk food and watching the Gilmore Girls.

Finally writing my journal review that's due tomorrow. 29 words to go to meet the 400 word requirement. Usually that's not a problem for me but for some reason, today I'm struggling. I'm just so OVER homework/studying right now.

Old man cat came in this morning yowling and wandering around. I got his coat out of the dryer and put it on him and he stopped.

Ha! While I was typing, middle son carried up a very full basket of clean laundry and fluffy kitten chirruped. She is delighted he brought her a kitten playground to burrow in.

I imagine him like an old hippie grampa cat in his flannel shirt. When i was in college, thats all ANYBODY wore. So it has very strong somethings for me.

I went ahead and bought the Switch Lite. Feels extravagant to buy something like that just for me, but I hope it will be worth it.

Yay! L doesn't have Covid! She thought she might, but it could have also been allergies. Stupid allergies! Now I get to see her Tuesday in-person.
