I was in a funny mood yesterday at night and spent almost £20 on chocolate (not delivered to me).

I'm not a virologist, but I don't think you can get covid from people farting.

Essay on the NHS submitted. You can also see and download submissions from all other students. Creepy guy had "five pages" and the font size was more than 14.

Just studying for my social exam on the 16th!

I may have had cake for breakfast... I think I mentioned that geneticist guy bought me a cake with the name of the school where I'll be doing my fellowship... he suggested I bring it home so my roommate and I could enjoy it, but even though it's a small cake there's no way we're going to be able to get through it all before it goes stale. Maybe we could freeze it? Under normal conditions I'd bring it to the hospital to share with the residents but that's definitely off the table in COVID times.

Una, I asked the head of ID at my hospital that exact question several months ago, and she said she didn't think that COVID transmission through passed gas was possible. This article supports her hypothesis:

Dr. William Schaffner, medical director of the National Foundation for Infectious Diseases and infectious diseases professor at Vanderbilt University, said at this point, transmission of coronavirus through passed gas has "never been demonstrated."

"It becomes a highly theoretical exercise to discuss it," he said. "It's very unlikely."

Welp, looks like I'm working today. Boss texted a few people saying that the hospital is jammed and they're desperate for help; I'm not doing anything in particular today so I offered to come in. Extra money is never a bad thing!

Drs, the precise question was, does gas contain covid? Cuz some people think stomach acid is too hostile an environment for covid to survive the trip. Which is not true, it survives to the END if you get my meaning!

So yeah, they say pants are like masks in containing the virus.

It's barely 8 AM and I'm already taking anxiety medication. Great (sarcasm). Today is going to be wonderful (sarcasm) I can feel it.

Drunk emailed my therapist last night some emotionally charged BS about him leaving. Great. Thankfully it was only two sentences and I didn't ramble on. Wonder if he'll respond.

And I've drunk emailed before, too...

I don't think you have truly been in therapy til you have drunk communicated with your therapist.

Well I don't drink so I have never drunk texted or emailed my T but I've sent plenty of cringe-worthy things completely sober!

Just had a five minute conversation with my T since I am having a lot of delusions today. Kind of helped me get my footing just hearing her voice. She's just like, hang on.....you're doing all the right things. Text me if you need to and I'll get back to you. Hang in there. Hang on. You can do this.

I sent him another email saying I was sorry and that I was feeling bereft last night. He responded to that email saying it was ok, he was sorry he couldn't respond before we meet next and not to worry about the email. So I guess we're ok.

I'm glad he got back to you with something! I would think you're okay!

Great. No sooner did I read that than "Ah-Ah-ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah-Ah..." and etc. started running through my head.

Better than Holly Jolly Christmas, I suppose, which my so-called friend sang to my voice mail earlier. On purpose.

I spent a good twenty minutes finding a not-too-sappy condolence card for Info. One that also had room for me to write something more personal.

A lot of sympathy cards sound like they were written by therapists, possibly while drunk.

And I would also like cake for breakfast but not while at my mother’s.

That's when I look for a "Just letting you know I'm thinking of you" kind of card where I can just write a quick note. Sometimes cards are just too sappy for me.
