I’m supposed to have a Zoom class for my psychoanalytic fellowship tonight but I feel awful so I might just skip it.

Someone posted in our group whatsapp we're each getting 40 masks for free.

Think they might have been donated ones as we're supposed to take a selfie wearing it after we collect.

If it's not mandatory it's okay to skip sometimes.

It is nice she gave you an update.

So we bought our dogs from a breeder. Actually, we bought two, and two were given to us free (they both had issues with breeding). They are such sweet nice people. Every year they send Christmas presents to their grand-puppies. We just got our presents in the mail! I can't wait to see what they got them.

Glad your appointment went well QM.

Hope you get a referral soon. Do they have a approx time frame?

This sums up what ending with my therapist feels like. We were still definitely in the middle of something.

There's also online therapy C, if you wanted to continue with the same T despite the distance.

That does not always work in the US - often the therapist needs to be licensed where the client is -not just where the therapist is.

Yes, this is my concern--when I told T that I had to move, his response was "we'll find you a new therapist," not "oh no worries we can continue telehealth." So I think that means I'm going to have to find a new T.

I saw a commercial for eyebrow makeup yesterday. WTF?

I tried sunflower butter this morning. Much tastier than expected and "school approved" according to the label.

eyebrow makeup? is that to make them darker or bigger if you have really thin ones? Mine are thick and dark and I've always hated them.

I know Dr. T has continued to see some clients when they went to college out of state. But I don't know if that's a case of where the home state is still their permanent address (like I went to college out of state, but returned home on breaks, so that was still my home address). It also may depend on the state and the degree/credential in terms of licensing requirements, too.

I think therapists are a dime a dozen and you can find another abusive one in any state you move to.
But some states care and some states don't

I feel a sense of panic at being expected to talk to someone face to face with no mask now to be honest. I was a germaphobe before and this didn't help lol I wish it would be more normalized in winter when people are sick or come to work sick because no one wants their disease lol

I also don't know how I'm going to bring myself to fly again. I'm thinking 2022 but its still scary.

I have no time for such things in the morning. I just throw on my Groucho Marx glasses and go.

I had to fly home from my sister's house in July. It actually was not too bad, but it wasn't like a holiday or anything. I wouldn't want to fly at like Christmas or something.

Airports were VERY quiet. It was no problem staying distanced within the terminals. The airline I used kept the middle seats empty. Everyone had on masks and was as careful as you can be in a small space. The only time I felt crowded was when we landed. Why do people all stand up in the aisle at the same time? I just remained seated until people were moving and more spaced out.

I never started wearing makeup when I was young. Just never got into the habit. I tried, once, when I was about 15. It was the eighties, blue eyeshadow was all the rage, so I wore it. My best friend took me aside and told me oh-so-delicately that I wasn't supposed to be putting it on the inside of my eyes, next to my nose. That's not eyeshadow, I said, those are just my veins showing through my pale skin. I wondered how many other classmates thought I had put on clown makeup that day, and decided, screw it, I'd rather sleep fifteen minutes later every day anyway.

As an adult, I wear very subtle makeup for job interviews (Lord please don't make me have to do those ever again) and sometimes on first or second dates. Maybe if meeting a paramour's parents. Funerals or weddings. Maybe.

I feel fragile. Like I am oversensitive to/overwhelmed by stimuli both emotional and physical. My boss always tells me, "This too shall pass" so I was telling that to myself and taking some deep breaths. Then I took a Xanax. My boss told me, "Just remember that what you are feeling is temporary." Temporary or not I just want it to go away! Stupid emotions.

OMG i put the sprinkler on to water the plants behind the shed last night and forgot to turn it off, the corner of my yard is flooded and the corners of my 3 neighbours yards are also. But the dogs loved it and had a great time paddling around in it. I also may have used up a chunk of my quarterly allocation of water.

Info and No. 1 have been able to talk to me when I was out of state because I was returning to our home state and had my permanent address there. It’s a temporary arrangement at best.
