Paying co-pays after you met your out of pocket max is bad, but not having things count toward your deductible might be worse...
I don't have to meet a deductible (I pay for the highest/best insurance my work offers which is a platinum plan). It doesn't have a deductible but my therapy sessions won't count towards my out of pocket maximum unless she submits the bills properly. Usually I hit that in August or September and then have a couple of months free where I don't have to pay for my medications. This year 2020, I hit it in January because I got put into the psych ward. Between that, the regular ER and the ambulance ride between the two I met my out of pocket maximum so I haven't had to pay for prescriptions this whole year. But this system only works for me if she does the leg work and submits the claims to the correct department. It doesn't work for her either unless she does it right. She's been living on the copays instead of the copays PLUS the insurance reimbursement.

Makes me think stopdog is right about therapists and math.

I give up trying to help her. I've given her the phone number twice and told her the name of the mental health arm of the insurance company twice. Hopeless.

According to UPS, I have two packages arriving tomorrow and one arriving today. I'm puzzled about the one arriving today. It says it is from the company I work for, but they already sent me a fruit basket to my home so I wonder if UPS has it mixed up!

There's still so many Christmas movies that I usually watch this season that I haven't watched yet! I'm running out of time!

My mother would probably not approve of headstands, no. As far as I know she doesn’t do them.

She only had her first massage ever last fall when she was having physical therapy for her back.

Went and drove around with my pod to see some xmas lights tonight at a local park. We go every year to a different display. And I hope I don't have to hear any more xmas music. I heard a lot of it tonight

Well, the youngest in our group is 59 and the oldest is 79 - so we probably do look like the cast of Cocoon

I m soo glad i got this air conditioner, even though it is costing me a quarter of my pay. It just isnt quite powerful enough somedays so i am thinking i might replace it some time in the future and put it in my bedroom. The dogs arent struggling with heat which is great i mainly bought it for them i feel sorry for the dog net door who never gets to go inside and there is no shade in their yard except on the small verandah.

I sent my coworker a notebook that is personalized and has personalized scriptures along the bottoms of the pages for Christmas. Apparently she just got it and she said she is almost in tears. It's just what she needed. It's nice making someone happy for Christmas!
